Pauline was in front of the mirror fixing her hair when Jesse walked in the bathroom. He didn't made a sound and he froze at the sight. Pauline was wearing his favourite black tight Levi's jeans and a red Burberry shirt. From the right side of it there were black and white lines, mixed with a few grey ones, and they made a very nice plaid shirt. Her hear were let down and Jesse amazed of how long they were.
Pauline was putting some mascara and saw Jesse standing on the doorspet of the reflection of the mirror. "What are you looking at? Should i change?" she asked and turned to face him. He was wearing a red shirt too but his has nothing in common with hers. Jesse's shirt has lots of white, blue and black lines, others there are big and others small. She looked down to the faded blue jeans. Her breath caught in her throat but Jesse's voise brought her back to reality.
"Nope, i'm ready to spend my first night on the jail! But please don't tell my Mum." Jesse answered surious. "Why you should spend the night in jail...?" she asked and start placing the mascara on her eyelashes. "You know with you looking so gorgeous many men will die to have your number and i must defend you. So, we'll have a fight... that's very simple! You must stay close to me or someone will have a heart attack well including me!" he explained and walked beside her.
"You know, it's been a while since i had a fight for you! I'm ready for an another onw! I'm gonna kill every bitch that looks at you!" she said calmy but she looked to the mirror with a devil's look. Jesse smiled. "Are you ready?" he asked when he saw her looking to herself on the mirror. "Yes, i'm ready!" she answered and turn the lights off.

Pauline walked out of the cinema roor holding Jesse's hand and laughing. "Man, that was so funny!" she said. "Yeah, you just gotta love the Minions!" Jesse answered checking the hour on his phone. "Do you want to eat something?" he added. "Yeah, i'm starving!" "Sure, what about McDonald's?" "Oh, yes please! It's been a while since i last visited this place and i miss it very much!" Pauline answered and smiled.
They both walked to the car. A few minites later they have already ordered their food and waiting on the line to get it. "Oh my God Pauline? What are you doing here?" a girl said as she turned back to the line. "Oh God, Gina! I'm so happy to see you!" Pauline answered and gave her a quick kiss and hug.
"W-What are you doing here?" Gina asked. "We watched a movie before and came here to have some dinner, what about you?" Pauline asked looking to that handsome young man next to her. "Oh, that's my boyfriend Tommy! Tommy this is Pauline. I met her on the volleyball competiotion!" Gina said. Tommy shaked hands with Pauline first and then with Jesse. "That's my bouyfriend Jesse!" Pauline intoduse him and watched them shaking hands.
"Mmm. So, he has the game on Notre Dame!" Gina said shaking her head. "Oh, yes! That was him!" Pauline answered and winked at her. "Oh man you play for Notre Dame?" Tommy said a little suprised next to Gina. "Yeah, but not for that long! You play any game?" Jesse asked him back? "Yeah, volleyball..." "That's great!" he answered and smiled. "Well, it was nice seeing you again Gina! Maybe we should arrange something..." Pauline said. "Of course and we will! We'll see you around... Bye!" Gina answered and both her and Tommy walked away. "Have a nice day!" Pauline answered and smiled.
With their food in their hands Pauline and Jesse found a table and shut down. "She's cute..." Jesse started. "And a very good volleyball player..." Pauline added and took a bit from her burger. "You like her?" "Yes, why?" "Because you told her to have a nice day! And as far as i know you guys use that when you don't like someone!" "Oh, no! I do like her... and we're not only using this with the bad meaning..." Pauline answered and took a sip of her Coke.
She seattled her Coke down and looked outside of the window. There was a woman walking down the street. She froze. She was looking a lot like Heather. It's been a while since she had the last thought about her. Her words playied nonstop to her ears, over and over again.
"Pauline?" Jesse asked a little cunfuised. She didn't responce, her eyes were locked with that woman. "Pauline? What are you looking at?" he asked again. She didn't answer this time too. She didn't even move her eyes. "Pauilne, babe what are you looking at?" he tried one more time and touched her hand.
Pauline shaked her head and looked at him. "Are you okay?" he asked. "No, i mean yeah! Can we get out of here?" she asked him. Jesse knew that if he would ask her right now what's wrong, she will not answer. He couldn't hide that he was a little worried but at least he was trying. "Sure! If you're done." he answered. Pauline nodded and got up.
They left McDonald's and walked to the way back to the car. Jesse was holding her hand. He felt it getting more and more sweaty. He couldn't feel that she's shaking. "Paul are you alright?" he asked and stopped in front of the car. "Yeah." "Really? Because i think you're not." "Jesse please take me home... i'll explaine to you everything there... please!" Pauline begged. Jesse sighed. "Alright, but you must stop somewhere first and i think that this will change your emotions!" Jesse answered and smiled.
"Where?" Pauline asked suprised as she got in the car. "It's a suprise! Close your eyes and don't open them until i tell you, understood?" he asked. "Yes, sir!" Pauline said and closed her eyes as he ordered her. "Great!" Jesse said and put the machine on.
Pauline didn't know where Jesse was taking her and she didn't care. The more time she was thinking about Heather, she wanted to runaway. She really suprised herself that she didn't think about her since they came from LA. She didn't want to know how thing will be if she couldn't stop Heather from her evil plan. Jesse and Ava were right, that woman is able for everything. Pauline didn't want to believe them at first. But she heard it with her own ears that night. These were words that she'll remember them for the rest of her life.
The car stopped and she came back to reality. "Okay, open your eyes now!" Jesse ordered. Pauline opened them and she raised her eybrows. She looked around and she didn't see anything special, it was a common Red Bank road. "What's here?" she asked. "Wait and see..." he answered and got out of the car. He walked to her side and opened the door for her. He held his hand out and helped her got out too.
Once they were both out of the car Jesse took her hand and lead the way. "Where are we going?" she asked. "Shh! You'll see in a few seconds!" he answered and keep walking. After one minute walking Jesse stopped. "Look, Paul about the story you told me before... i kinda feel a little bad because i used to have a pet and now i don't. But you that's never is too late to have a pet right?" he asked her. "Yeah, but what is your point?" she asked him back.
Pauline was just finished her sentence when she read 'Bark Avenue Puppies'. Her jaw became one with the ground. "Oh my God!" were the only words she was able to say right now. Her eyes rolled as she now realize what was going on. Jesse laughed a little. Her reaction was better than he could ever thought.
"Let's go inside! A little puppy is waiting for us..." he said and opened the door for her. "What do you mean a little puppy is waiting for us?" she asked him back. "Well, while you were dressing i called here and asked for a puppy." he explained and closed the door behind him.
They walked to the desk and Jesse said. "Hi, i called this afternoon and asked to see some puppies." "Oh, yes i remember you! They just brought a 3 month puppy, do you wanna see it?" the young lady asked. Jesse looked next to him to Pauline who nodded and then back tot he young lady who smiled.
"Follow me..." she said and walked away from the desk. They passed a few hallways and the young lady opened a door. As they walked inside of the big room they were amazed of how much little puppies were there. Pauline looked to all of them. They were so adorable and cute, she couldn't deny them.
The young lady stopped tot he last cage. "This little guy is new one. Is only 3 months old. He's a Labrador. Very cute and very good with people." the young lady said and opened the cage. "Come here buddy..." she knelt down to meet him.
Small soles took some steps out of the cage. Is was the cutest Labrador puppy Pauline have ever seen. It was small and has beautiful brown eyes which matched perfectly with the yellow hair. Thr young lady reached for him and took him in her amrs. "Do you wanna hold him?" she asked and looked to Pauline. "Yes." Pauline answered and opened her amrs.
The little puppy got comfortable in Pauline's arms. He was looking at her with his big brown eyes. He begun smelling her. Pauline smiled. Jesse was next to her and was looking at this momment. She was good with puppies. He turned to the young lady and said "You'll keep him!" The young lady smiled. "Very nice choise. Do you ever have any other pets?" "Yeah, i used to have some dogs but they passed a few years ago." Jesse informed her as they walked back to the main store.
"So, you have all the things a puppy needs." "Yeah, i think we have. But if something is missing i'll come tommorow." "Good. You must find a name for your little friend here. He's in the best age to learn his name." "How many years Labradors live?" Pauline asked from behind, still having her new friend in her arms. "From 10-15 years. But if they have good care they live more years." "Thank you!" Pauline answered and looked down to her friend.
"You're ready to go. But i must informed you that when he'll grow up a little more he'll be very tough. You must teach him some discipline now before is too late!" the young lady gave them one last advise. "We will. Thank you!" Jesse answered.
Both of them they got in the car with their little hairy friend.
She seattled her Coke down and looked outside of the window. There was a woman walking down the street. She froze. She was looking a lot like Heather. It's been a while since she had the last thought about her. Her words playied nonstop to her ears, over and over again.

Very sweet of Jesse to get his girl a puppy. Now go home so Pauline can tell him what took place in LA.
