Chapter 24: It's Time To Say Some Things We Haven't Said

Jesse woke up on the 25th of the November when he felt little arms on his back. He turned and faced his 'little monster' as he was calling Romeo. "Jesse wake up! Mommy said we'll leave in 2 hours!" Romeo informed him. "Okay, Romy! I'll be down in a few!" Jesse answered and Romeo nobbed.

He pulled out the covers and got up from the bed. A few minutes later he was dressed and ready to say goodbye to the rest of his family. As he was walking down the stairs he notised lots of suitaces on the end of the stairs.

He entered the kitchen and found all his family there. "Do you guys moving to UK?" he asked. "Good morning Jesse! And no, we're not moving to the UK! We're just ready for every occasion!" Dorothea said. "But only your and Steph's suitaces will filled all the plane!" Jesse teased his sister and she answered "Smartass!" "You still have time to change your mind Jess! You'll miss Taylor Swift singing!" Jon said and took a sip of his coffee. "Taylor Swift will be there too?" Jacob asked and rolled his eyes. "Yeah!" Stephanie said and nobbed. "That's awesome!" Jacob yelled and continue his chatt with Romeo.

The Bongiovi's were ready to leave for the airport. The car which will take them to the airport was outside waiting for them. "So, Jesse James rule number one: you will not call all the New Jersey in the house like the previous time. Rule number two: before you go to bed you'll check if all the doors are locked and you'll put the alarm on." Dorothea was saying to Jesse in the door step.

Jon hear his wife and said "You will not drink water! You will not eat food! And you will call us for every step that you take!" he joked. "Jon this is not joke time!" Dorothea answered to her husband. "Oh Dot he's a man! He'll do things that we will never know the days we'll be in the UK! Come on, let's to the car the boys are waiting!" "Okay! Goodbye Jesse! I'll call you when we're landed!" Dorothea said and hugged her son. "Ok, Mum i'll wait!" Jesse answered and saw his mother walking away.

"Hey, young man be carefull with Pauline these days!" Jon said. Jesse rolled his eyes. "How do you know?" "Jess, i'm not stupid! And i didn't want to say that in front of your mother! Be carefull and you know what i mean i don't want to be a grandfather when i'll come back!" Jon explained. Jesse nobbed. "If you run out of money you know where you'll find some! And one last advise.... enjoy this opportunity and make her feel special and unique, okay?" Jon asked and Jesse nobbed again. "Good! Now, i'm going before your mother will kill me!" Jon said and said goodbye to his son and left.

Jesse closed the door and watched his father walking away. "How the hell he knew that Pauline will come here?" he asked himself. It was a little weird but he didn't have much time to think about that. He has other things to take care first.

Pauline walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen. She saw her mother checking the list. "Ready to go guys?" she asked. "Yes, we're ready! We're leaving in a few minutes!" "Great! I'll drive you to the airport. There is no need in taking a cab!" "Sure! Go help your Dad to take the suitaces!" Katerina ordered her daughter and left.

One hour later Pauline and her family were at the airport. Their flight to Los Angeles has already annonced. It was time to go. "It's time go, sweetie! I'll call you when we're landed!" Katerina said and hugged Pauline. "Okay, i'll wait!" "I left a list on the kitchen with the things you must do, don't forget them!" "Ok, Mum! I will not!" Pauline answered and smiled.

She said a quick goodbye to her father and sister. She saw them walking away. It was a strange feeling and she never felt this before.

Without loosing any time she walked to the parking. Once she's inside the car she called Jesse. "Hey, babe! They're on the airplane now. I'll go home to take my staff and drive back to your house okay?" she said when Jesse picked up the phone. "Okay! I'll wait. Call me when you're here to open the gate." "I will! Do you need anything before i come there?" she asked him. "No, we have everythinng we need here!" "Okay, see you in a few! Love ya..." she said and hung up.

Pauline opened the door of her house. It was so empty and it will be empty for the next two days. It was hard to believe that she'll spend these 2 days with Jesse. She went to her room and grabed the bag she had made. She didn't packed lots of clothes, just what she'll need. She ckecked it one more time and left the room.

She arrived at the kitchen and saw the list her mother had left.

Pauline,

The fridge is full with everything you'll need these 2 days that we'll be away. Don't forget to clean up the kitchen when you cook and wash the dishes. Do some laundry if you want! Call us if you need anything.

PS- Don't do anything with Jesse if you're not ready for it! I'm sure he'll understand and he wants YOU to be ready for it! Be careful

Pauline's eyes rolled as she read the PS. "How the hell she knew that i'll go to Jesse's?" she asked herself. She was suprised from her mother's letter. She didn't do staff like that.

She ckecked one more if she has with her everything she'll need and she locked the front door. She placed the bag next to her on the front seat and put on the engine. 

She arrived at the Bongiovi house a few minutes later. She called Jesse and the doors opened. She drove in and parked the car next to Jesse's. She took the bags with her and walked to the front door.

Jesse was there waiting for her with a big smile on his face. His arms opened and closed with Pauline inside them. He kissed her and said "I missed you!" "I missed you too....." she answered and kissed him back. "Come in..." he said and put his arm around her waist.

"Welcome home, babe!" he said and closed the door. "I've been there before!" "I know that smartass but this one is different! What's in the bag?" he asked. "Oh, i bought you a present from LA!" Pauline answered. "Really?" he asked and Pauline nobbed. "I bought a present for you too! Give me your bag and i'll be down in a second!" Jesse offered and took her bag.

Pauline saw him runned on the stairs on the top speed. She smiled as she thought What kind of present? This guy has always a suprise on his sleeve! 

Jesse found the girl he loved the most stiing on the couch. He walked and sut next to her. "I was in the town with a friend and we saw a shop that made staff like that and i have an idea! I know, at the first sight will look silly but this will be a way to be with you when i'm not!" he start and gave to Pauline a little box. "What is it?" "Come on opened it!" he said and she did what he asked.

Pauline opened the little box. With what Jesse said before it was a little difficult to understand what the present will be. Inside the box was an i-phone case. Pauline's eyes rolled as she got it in her hands. She turned it and saw the most beautiful cover she've ever seen. It was picture of her and Jesse. She couldn't remember when Jesse took it but one thing was obvious.... they were both happy and smiling. The picture was black and white and mached perfectly with the red letters that they are written. Pauline & Jesse 13.10.2012- ∞

She've lost her words. Whatever she could say wasn't enough to express him her feelings. "It's beautiful! Thank you!" she answered. "What about mine now?" Jesse asked like the 5 year old on the candy shop. "Well, mine is a lot different! We were walking with Ava and i saw this shop and boom..... idea!" she joked.

Pauline gave to Jesse the little bag she was carring. Jesse opened it and pulled out a t-shirt. He suprised. He opened the t-shirt and read what was saying Keep calm and love a setter. The t-shirt has his favourite colour blue and the letter were white. She looked up to Pauline and saw her unzipping her jacket and he read again. Keep calm and love a cornerback. He smiled and said "Thank you Paul! Is perfect!"

"Babe, what do you want to eat for dinner?" Jesse asked a few hours ago. He was still trying to understand that Pauline is right here with him. And she'll be for the next 2 days. "You know i eat everything!" "You're not helping me....." "Okay, what about some pasta? I'm dying to taste the Bongiovi sause!" "That sounds good!" Jesse answered. "Cooking time!" Pauline said and got up from the couch. "What you think you're doing?" "I'm going to cook dinner....." Pauline answered. "You? Cooking?" Jesse teased her. He knew that Pauline doesn't like cooking at all.

"You know i can be Gordon Ramsay in the female edition if i want! So, you'll stay here and relax! I'll do the cooking....." "Alright Gordon Ramsay! I'll be here if you need me!" Jesse answered. Pauline left for the kitchen. Jesse was sitting there in the living room doing nothing. 

To his mind came his father's words. Make her feel special and unique "Special and unique huh? I can do that!" he said to himself and got up. He had an idea.

Moments later Jesse walked in the kitchen of his house. The smell of pasta was all over the air. He saw his Greek godness in front of the stove. He walked beside her and put his arms around her waist. He kissed her favourite spot. "What my Gordon is doing?" "I don't know what Gordon does right now but i finished the sause! And i can say i'm very proud of it!" "If it is as good as it smells you have a new talent!" Jesse answered and kissed her spot again.

His breath was hot and Pauline couldn't resiste that. "You better stop it if you want to eat....." she said. "Okay.... But just for now!" he answered and left her alone to cook.

A few minutes later Pauline placed on the table the pitcher full of water. Looking around the table everything was perfect. Claping her hands she left the kitchen and went to call Jesse. "Hey, babe dinner is ready!" she told him. "I can't wait to taste what you made...." he answered as they both walked to the kitchen.

They sut on the chairs facing each other. Jesse tok the pitcher and poured them some water. He raised his glass and said "To us!" "To us!" Pauline answered and took a sip. Jesse took the fork on his hands and took a bite from the pasta. His eyes rolled. "Mmm! Paul that's delicious! You really didn't call anyone to cook for you?" Pauline smiled. She always loved his comments. "No, silly i didn't! I cooked it myself and is really good! I'm impressed!" she answered.

The next moments passed into silence. Their plates were almost clear when Pauline cleared her throat. "Jesse?" she asked. "What?" "Do you remember one day you asked me a question about the accident and i couldn't answer it?" she asked him. Jesse raised his eyebrow. "Yeah, you said you'll told me when you're ready!" "I am ready! Can you go somewhere else and talk?" Pauline asked him. "Sure! I bet you want to go to the bench next to the river?" Jesse asked and Pauline nobbed.

After taking their jackets they walked to the bench. Pauline was ready for that moment. And she was suprised that Jesse didn't ask anything earlier. But now is the best time to say some things they haven't said.

They both sut in the bench and watched the river for a few seconds. "How you learn that i was lying to you?" he asked and looked at her. It was hard for him to ask this question. It was the bigest mistake he've ever made and he's paying that.

Pauline cleared her throat. She must tell him the truth. "I was in a shop with Ava when i got a call from an unknown number. I picked it up and someone told that you're not i think you are. The voise told me to go to the park opposite from the Red Bank high-scool and i went. There i found Jennifer!" "Jennifer was behind all this?" Jesse asked upset. "Yes, but this is only the begging! Anyway, she gave me the pictures i threw at you that day!" she explained to him.

"I knew that little bitch was behind all these!" Jesse almost yelled. "I couldn't belive it either!" "But how i went to the hospital? I can't remember that day at all!" Jesse asked the question was on his mind from the first day he woke up.

Pauline froze a little. It was hard for her to say that he went to the hospital because of her being stupid. She singed. "A few days later i went for a run! And i and Zack went for a coffee. You were too watching us behind from a tree...." she stopped. How could she tell him that Zack kissed her. She knew that he'll get very mad and that was a thing that she wanted to avoid. But she can't.

Taking a deep breath she answered "He kissed me and you saw us. Then you left!" "He did what? that little bastard kissed you? I'm gonna kick his ass right now!" Jesse said furious and got up. Pauline touched his arm. "No, Jesse! There is nothing bewtween me and Zack!" Pauline told him looking in the eyes. "How do i know that Pauline? What if he is lying to you?" "Zack is not tha kind of person! And i don't care if he still loves me or not!" she singed. "When you woke up we met and i made clear to him that i see him as a friend!" "Oh, but i still don't trust him!" Jesse said more calmy now.

"Are you finished?" he asked when he sut down. "No, i want to say and something else and i want your opinion on that!" "Go ahead!" "The first day i released from the hospital i wanted to see you so bad. So, i saw you and fall asleep holding your hand." she stopped when she saw that Jesse smiled and blushed, she smiled too "but, the funniest part is that your father found me there the next morning! I was so imparased, i went to the bathroom and sut there for the next 30 minutes!" "You were imparased because my Dad found you in my room?" Jesse asked with raised his eyebrow.

"A little! I still can't used to them when they are around!" Pauline admited. "What why do you want my opinion for that?" "Not, for that! The same day Jennifer came...." When jesse heard Jennifer's name he lifted his head. "She didn't do anything to you, didn't see?" he asked with lots of consern on his voise. "No, she didn't! She just said she'll send me to the grave and if this make her not to see the light of the sun again! She'll destroy me! Was the words she used, do you think she will?" she asked a little worried now.

She never told anyone about that. But Jennifer has something that was scaring the hell out of Pauline. She stole her boyftiend without knowing it. She was really afraid of her but she didn't want to admit it.

"No, babe! She will not! I can promise you that!" Jesse answered and took her in his arms. he was trying to believe what he just said. He knew what kind of person Jennifer is. Jesse knew that Jennifer is blind from wickedness and she's able for everything. But he couldn't say a thing like that to Pauline. he hated when he was lying to her but there's nothing else he can do.

"Come on, babe is getting cold outside! Let's go in the house!" he said and got up from the bench. he held out his hand and Pauline took it. They walked back in the house hand-in-hand.

Chapter 23: Something For The Pain

Pauline was sound sleeping when she felt a hand on her arm. Her eyes opened automaticaly and she saw Ava. "What is it?" she asked scared. Her mind came the worse. "I thought you want to go for a walk! It's past noon! Do you always sleep that much?" Ava answered. Pauline signed of reliefe. "You scared the heel out of me! I thought that something bad happend!" "Nope, everything is okay! Now, move your money maker we have some shopping to do!" "Okay! Don't bite me, i'm coming! I'll be ready in a few minutes!" Pauline answered and get out of bed.

She saw Ava closing the door behind her and checked the phone on the night stand. No missed calls. She was trying to find a way to take Richie with them. But how? Her head was in her hands when it hit her. "Guitars! Of course! How can i forget that?" she said and wore her clothes.

She closed the door behind her and walked to the living room. "Good morning!" she said with a smile. "Morning Angel!" Richie answered and smiled. Pauline sut but Ava grabbed her arm and get her up again. "We will not have breakfast?" Pauline said complaying. "I'll buy you something on the road!" Ava said. "Okay!" Pauline answered. Richie drunk a sip of his coffee and got up from the chair. "Ready girls?" he asked. "What are you coming too?" Ava asked. "Yes, i want to ckeck on a friend here!" Richie answered.

Ava didn't like the idea of her Dad coming with them. On the other hand Pauline was more than exited. She was trying hard to act normal when she knows that kind of secret. But the time passes like water in the river and she must find a way to stop Richie of drinking his coke in lunch. She will find a way.

Richie left them on the roasd with the most shops. "So, where is the shop you saw?" Ava asked when Richie left. Pauline was looking around a little. "I think is from that way!" Pauline said and pointed with her hand the road on right. "I hope you know where we are going! I don't to get lost in LA!" "Relax, we are not going to be lost! Just relax and trust me!" Pauline answered and keep walking.

They keep walking for a little more when they found the shop. "Ava i found it! Is here!" Pauline said. "Thank God! Let's go inside!" Ava answered and opened the door of the t-shirt shop. The place has the perfect size for a shop like that. Pauline knew exactly what she was looking for. So, it didn't take them so much time to leave the shop with Pauline carring two bags.

"I still wonder how you thought that!" Ava said and closed the door of the t-shirt shop behind her. "What you thought i was going to LA and i will not buy something for Mr Complainer?" "No, but the one you bought is a little weird but i'm sure he'll loved it!" Ava said.

Pauline's phone start buzzing. She put it out of her pocket and said "Morning gorgeous!" she said. "Good morning Paul. How is LA?" Jesse asked. "Great!" "Where are you now?" "Shopping with Ava!" Pauline answered and looked at Ava who was laughing. "When you will be in Jersey?" "We leave from here at 6.00 p.m. The flight is almost 4 hours!" "Oh, so i will not see you today?" Jesse said with a little sad voise. He was missing her so much.

"Hey, don't be sad! We will have all the time when i come back!" Pauline said. She could feel it when he's sad. "Yeah, you're right about that! Oh and i almost forgot it! When your parents are leaving for LA?" "The meeting is at 26th of November but they'll leave at the 25th. Why are you asking?" "An invitation arrived the last week and we are invited at the Kensington Palace in the UK that day!" Jesse answered. "Oh!" Pauline said and her eyes lost the sparkle the had before.

"But i'm not going!" Jesse said. Pauline rolled her eyes. "Why? This is very important!" "Yeah, i know but Dad said i can stay here if i want to. Plus i have strainning and i don't like loosing trainnings!" "You'll have plenty of time to think about it!" "Yeah, but i've already take my desicion...... i'll stay here! I rather be with you in NJ rathen than being in Europe with my family! If i was going i couldn't have see you and you'll stay alone because your parents and Zeta will be in LA. And since you're coming from LA i want to see you and spend time with you! Am i asking too much?" "Ι don't know Jess! If want to go i don't any problem, really i don't!" "You may not have but i do! What if something bad happens when you're alone and i can't protected you? No, i'm not gonna risk it!" Pauline lost her words. She couldn't find a good enough answer. "And about that i want to ask you a question." "Ask me!" "I think is a better idea you know to come to stay with me in the house! You know is a little bigger but if you want to stay in your house to be safer i understand....." Jesse said and he is waiting for an answer.

"I will loved that! I hope your parents will not mind!" "Of course and they will not mind it! I can't wait to see you, Paul!" "Me too Jess! but i gotta go now, i'll text you when i'm home!" "Alright! I'll wait! I love you!" "I love you too!" Pauline said and hung up.

"What is it?" Ava asked. "Nothing bad! he's just checking if i'm okay!" Pauline answered. "Pauline!" Ava said and looked her in the eyes. Pauline knew what Ava wanted to hear. She couldn't hide it but she was so shy to tell it. "Well...." she started. "While my parents are in LA i'll stay with Jesse!" she said it. "Really? That's great! but what about his parents?" "They'll be in the UK with the kids and we'll have all the house for us!" Pauline answered.

"Nervous?" Ava asked the right question. "Maybe a little! But i'm ready for what you're thinking! he never pushed me on the departement. He just waits when i'm ready and now i am!" "If you say it you're ready! Just be carefull, you know what i mean!" Ava said and winked at her. "We will!" Pauline said and nobbed.

A few hours later they arrived at Heather's house. In a few hours they'll leave. It was the last meal in this house and they all hoped that they will never come back. Table was ready wating for them. The girls went to the room to leave their things and the returned to the kitchen.

Pauline had an idea of how she'll destroy Heather's plan but it must succeed. While Richie and Ava were wating in the table Pauline went to help Heather. She saw her above the sink holding something in her hands. But Pauline couldn't see it because she was facing her back. "Can i help you?" she said and Heather sceared. "Oh Pauline you scared me! I don't need any help you can go and sit in the living room! I will not be too late." "No, you accommodated me in your house! Is the least i can do." Pauline answered.

"No, i'm fine! But if you want to help you can take the chicken!" Heather said and smiled. "It looks so delicious! I'm afraid that i'll eat it before i'll take it to the living room! I'll take the drinks, is more safe!" Pauline said and she was trying to sound normaly.

Heather was starting to sweating. Her only chance to destroy Richie was flowing by. She couldn't do nothing right now. Pauline had always an eye on her. She was watching her close. Pauline opened the fridge and took 4 Cokes and 4 glasses. "Don't be late we're starving!" Pauline joked on her as she left.

She couldn't hide the smile on her face. Her plan worked. She went to the kitchen the right moment. She didn't want to think what it will have happend if she was going a minute later. Sure, thyings will be diferent by now and Richie will be in danger. But not now. He's safe because of Pauline.

At the table Heather was looking at her having that big smile on her face. That was making her feeling sick. She was so close to make it and because of her she will never take full castody of Ava.

Chapter 22: Dirty Little Secret

Richie opened the door of Heather's house. "heather we're here!" he yelled when he walked in followed by Ava and Pauline. Heather walked from the kitchen with a spoon in her hands. "How was your walk?|" she asked. "It was great! The girls found a beach-volley court and they were there all the time!" Richie informed her.

Av and Pauline sut on the couch and they were watching a movie. Heather returned to the kitchen. "You cooked dinner?" Richie asked as he entered the kitchen. "Yes. I told you Richie i've changed! I'm not the Heather i used to be!" "Good for you darlin'!" Richie answered and a smiled.

Back in the living room Pauline and Ava were watching a movie. "Ava?" Pauline broke the silence. "Yeah?" Ava asked without looking at her. "Can we go to the beach tommorow?" "Wow! Don't tell me you want to see Gordon again?" she asked and rolled her eyes. She turned the TV off and turn to face her. "Of course not! I saw a t-shirt shop  on the way back and i had an idea!" Hmhm! I thought that you liked him!" "No way! He's not my type!" Pauline answered. "Whatever! I'll ask Dad." "Great! Let's see the rest of the movie now!" Pauline said and turned on the TV.

A few miutes later the dinner that Heather made was ready. They all sut in the table next to the pool. The weather at this point of the year was always great. When the start eatting Richie gongratulated Heather for cooking dinner. When the were together Heather often was cooking. Richie was impressed at first. She was doing so much pregress. She wanted to have Ava with her at any cost.

On the other hand Ava was not impressed at all. She knew she was using her acting skills to take Richie with her side. Ava didn't want to think what will happend next. She had a feeling that Heather will not do anything to hurt her or her father. That's why she asked Pauline to come with them. If Heather was a step forward Ava was two. Heather was trying to get closer to her but Ava didn't let her.

The time was passing. It was late and they have finished eatting for a long time now. The girls exused themselves and went to their room. "That dinner was delicious!" Pauline said as she opened the door. "I bet she paid a lot of money to buy that!" Ava said and closed the door behind her. "Why don't you try to give her a chance? That's why you're here after all!" "I don't want to give her a chance! She does all this to take Dad with her side! But i'm not buying her shit!" "Ava she is your mother!" Pauline said and looked at her. "Don't say that again! She is not my mother anymore!" Ava said slowly and gave Pauline the meanning that she ment every single word that came out of her mouth.

"Okay! I get it, she is not your mother!" Pauline said with almost terrified voise. She must change the subject before Ava expload. "So, are you going for that walk tommorow? I have shome shopping to do!" she changed the subject. "Yeah, Dad said there is no problem! We can go the morning!" "Great! Let's sleep now!" "Yeah! I'm tiried! I will not play beach-volley again!" Ava said and both laughed a little.

It was about 3.00 am when Pauline opened her eyes. It was the middle of the night and she was so thirsty. She checked the bed next to her. Ava was sleeping like a bird. She pulled the covers away and get out of bed. She opened the door so slowly, she didn't want Ava to wake up.

She closed the door behind her and walked to the kitchen to have a glass of water. It was 3.00 am and she didn't exept to find no one awake. She was really suprised when she notised the kitchen lights were on. She could here Heather talking. At first she thought she was talking to Richie. But the male voise who answered has nothing to do with Richie.

She wasn't the kind of girl that is spying others but she'll do it if she must safe her friends. She stoped before the kitchen. "So, how things are here?" the male voise asked. "Fucked up! Ava doesn't even talked to me!" Heather answered. "What about Richie?" "Richie is the idiot he used to be! He thought that i cooked dinner!" they both laughed. "Really? Man, he is so idiot! You never cooked!" "You should have seen his face when he tasted what i cooked!" "Good. And what about the girl Ava brought here?" the unknown man said.

Pauline was there listen to them. Her temper has already raised. She couldn't believe what her ears have just listened. Ava was right. That woman has no limits. She shallowed hard and waited for heather's answer.

"She's just a fan! And man thanks for the research you made for me! Her face lighted up when she heared beach-volley! But, she is so stupid too! She didn't even notised that i knew she liked volleyball! I told you she is stupid too! But she has a devils look! Something like the stink-eye. I thought she knew something when she looked at me with that look!" "Are you afraid of her?" the man asked.

"No. She's 17. What she can do to me?" "I don't know! You should keep a closer eye to her!" "I will. But tell me you found what i told you?" Heather asked.

Pauline doesn't give a shit what Heather thinks about her. The only thing she wants to know right now is what the little whitch asked. She saw the man putting out of his pocket a little box. "Here you go! Just a little of this and will do to your rock star whatever you want! But don't overcome it, this could kill him in less that 6 hours!" "And who cares if he is alive or dead? I just want Ava back!" "You'll get her! Just stay focused on the plan! Where are thinking will put this?" he asked. "On his glass of coke. He will not think about it! Then the girls will go for shopping and i will have him for myself for a few hours!" Heather said with devil's voise.
"What are you gonna do with him?" "I'll let him sing the papers that let me the whole castody of Ava." "And if he doesn't sing them?" Heather laughed.

"Come on Peter we are talking about Richie! His IQ is belong zero! And before he knows it i will have Ava and he will not have nothing but these fucking guitars!" "Heather maybe you overdone it a little?" "No, Peter i' not! I was in the bottom with my carrer while he was on world tours every 2 years along with new hits every year! I want to saw him crawlling on the bottom like i was......" Heather answered. "Alright got it! Now give me the thing and i can go before somedoby wakes up!" Peter said.

Heather stood up and gave him an another little box. "Here is your doze!" she said and gave the little box to him. "Thanks babe! When can you bring the next one?" "Whenever you want! I have lots just give me a call!" Heather answered. Peter got closer to her and kissed her passionately.

Pauline's eyes rolled. What are these really happening? It was the point in her life that she wanted to go back to bed and sleep. And when she'll wake up all these will end. She wanted to kill Heather right now. She didn't care what she say about Richie or even her self. The only thing she was thinking about is what she will do tommorow. She must think a plan to distroy Heather's plan.

Second thoughts are running to her mind as she walked back to her room. Should she say it to Ava or not? How will you tell to your best friend that your mother wants to kill your father? Pauline was in the middle and she didn't know what to do. Still Heather's words were playing  none-stop to her mind.

She was such a great actor and no one didn't think about it. The must think a plan without being seen. But the plan must also be so realistic and will not give the chance to Heather that Pauline knows. She must do it and quickly.

Chapter 21: This Is Our House

Pauline Ava and Richie jumped in Heather's SUV. The deciated to go for a walk in the beach and stores around the house. They didn't want to go to far away because someone might recognaze Richie.

They arrived at the beach and Richie parked the car. Both gilrs got out of the car. Pauline's jaw fel when she saw the ocean. "Man that's better that New Jersey!" she said and closed the door behind her. "You should see the view from the house!" Ava said and walked next to Pauline.

They walked down the little stairs and start walking on the sand. "That is awesome! No wonder why you left New Jersey!" Pauline said looking to Richie. "Well, is nice to leave here! Lots of beaches as you can see...." he answered pointing the ocean. "Dad, i was thinking about something......" Ava started. "What is it princess?" "Can we go home?" "You want to fly back to New Jersey?" Richie asked. "Not that home Dad. The home here!" "But honey, there is nothing there we can see!" Richie answered. "I don't care! I want to go there again. You have the keys don't you?" Ava asked desparately. "I do have the keys but we can go an another time!" "Come one Dad i know you miss this house as much as i miss it. I bet you miss the studio and the play room! Come on! Please!" Ava begged.

Richie sighed. He didn't know what to do. "Pauline what about you?" he asked. "Me? I've seen it in some photos! And ig you guys want to go i don't have any problem. It was your house after all!" "You sure? You don't any problem?" Richie asked again. "Nope! I always wanted to go there........ the fan side of me is coming out!" Pauline answered. "Ok, then if Pauline doesn't hane any problem i think we can go!" he answered.

Ava Pauline and Richie were walking in the sand. They continue walking in the beach. It was a hot day and the sun was shining. The beach was not that crouded as it was the last time they went there. "Holy shit!" Pauline said and her eyes rolled. Both Richie and Ava stoped and looked at her. "Pauline are you okay?" Ava asked. "No, i'm not okay! Look!" Pauline answered and pointed and the beach-volley courts were opened up to them.

She still has the lost look on her face. This was Heaven to her. She could live there the rest of his life. "And i guess you want to go." Ava said knowing that Pauline loves beach-volley. "Can we go please?" Pauline said using her puppy face."Okay, okay! But i don't know how to play volley!" "Is never too late to learn!" Pauline answered and smiled. "Is fine by me too! I'll go to buy some drinks! Don't go too far away and don't get intro trouble!" Richie warmed them and left.

The two friends start walking and realized that all the courts they are passed there are full. "There is no point of walking! There are full!" Ava said annoying. They passed more than 15 courts. "Never give up, Ava!" Pauline answered and keep walking. "And if we found a court we don't have a ball with us....." Ava said. Pauline stoped at the 20th and last court. "Well, we don't but there two have!" Pauline said and pointed with her head two boys.

"Oh no no no! You are not going to do what i'm thinking....." "Why not? They seem nice and good. What's the problem?" Pauline asked. "What if Dad didn't find us? We're in the last court!" "Ava, stop being afraid! Nothing is going to happend! And as far from Richie i don't think he'll stop until he find us! So, let's go! Is gonna be fun!" Pauline explained. Ava knew she has a point. "Fine!" she answered.

Both girls start walking closer to the unknown boys. Pauline who was not afraid of anything she spoke up first. "Good morning boys! We're looking for a ball to play..... can we borow yours?" she asked pointing the ball on the ground. "Good morning to you too girls! We're looking for a team to play...... So are you up for a challence?" the brown haired guy said and took a step forward. "I don't know how to play......" Ava said from behind. "That's not a problem! I'll go with you and Gordon will go with your friend!" The blond boy joined them. "Oh i'm Graham by the way......" he said and held out his hand to Ava first. "Nice to meet you Graham i'm Ava and this my best friend Pauline!" Ava introdused. When they all shaked their hands Graham said "Come on! Let's go!" Both boys went a little further and took of their t-shirt. They were wearing only their swimming-shorts.

Girls rolled their eyes. It was obvious their bodies were like Greek God's ones. Pauline faced Ava and shallowed hard. She take a look at Gordon's toned body. She could count his six-packes that ended in a V. Fuck! He was hot as hell. That moment was the first that Pauline has a bad thought, avery bad thought.

About an hour later Richie was trying to find them. He had already passed the 19 courts and he stoped at the last one. There they were. All the four of them were sitting on the sand and they were talking.

"Come on girls it time to go home....." Richie said and four pair of eyes looked at him. "Oh Daddy please can we stay a little longer? We have so much fun!" Ava said and stood up. "I'm sorry Ava is getting really late and we must go to the house remember? We are leaving tommorow......" Richie informed them. "Fine!" Ava said annoying.

Pauline stood up too. They said goodbye to their Californian friends and took their way back to the car. "Gordon is still looking at you!" Ava whispered to Pauline's ear. Pauline with the corner of her eyes saw him. Ava was right. "I don't care." she answered. "Yeah, you're right and we are not going to see them again....." Ava answered.

About an hour has passed and Richie pulled to a driveway that Pauline has never been before. He parked the car and all got out. Ava was having the nostalgia look on her face like Richie has. It was that moment when Pauline realized where she was.

They walked to the silver door and Richie opened it. They continue to walk and stoped to the main door. Pauline was looking around like she was living on Mars. The whole site of the house was more than amazing. Her eyes were rolled all the time.

Richie opened the door and walked in his house. It was dark and cold. It didn't have been opened since the day Richie and Ava left. It's been more than one year and a half.

Ava walked in and Pauline followed her. And for one more time this was looked like more like a dream to her rathen than reality. It was still has all the furnitures and staff. It was like they never left from this house. The large living room was opened up to them. The couches, the colour in the walls, every detail the common eye will caught and everything was perfect to Pauline.

She was still looking around to every corner. "Well, is better than i thought it will be!" Richie said having his arms on his waist. "Yeah, i think that too! Maybe we should come here more often." Ava answered and looed around to the living room.

"And the kitchen is in a good condition too......" Richie said from the kitchen. Ava looked at her friend. It was obvious she was in an another planet at this point. "Earth to Pauline! Earth to Pauline!" she said making her hands ups and downs in front of her eyes. "What?" she said and looked at her. "We have to leave now? Why time passes so fucking fast?" she asked and walked to the door. "Pauline we just came here. You must stop day dreaming!" "I was day dreaming......" Whatever. Come one let's go upstairs!" Ava offered.

Chapter 20: Hard Times Come Easy

The driver pulled to Heather's driveway. Richie payed the cab and he helped the girls to take their suitaces. It was past midnight when they arrived at Heather's house. Riche and the girls walked in the house's garden. They were all so sleepy that no one payed attetion to the house.

Richie rung the bell and few seconds later Heather opened the door. "Hello there! Come in...." she said with a smile and took a step back and let them walk in. "Did you have a save trip from New Jersey?" she asked and closed the door behind her. "The trip was good!" Richie answered knowing that none of the girls wanted to answer. "Let me take you to your rooms!" she said having the same smile in her face.

Pauline and Ava followed Heather to a hallway. Richie was left a few steps behind. Heather stoped in front of one door. "Ava and Pauline you'll stay here! And you Richie on the other room!" Heather said pointing the rooms. "Thank you Heather!" Richie answered again. "Now, go to sleep! See you tommorow!" Heather said and left.

"Goodnight girls!" "Good night Daddy!" Ava answered and gave him a quick hug and kiss goodnight. "Good night, Angel!" Richie said when he and Ava broke apart. "Good night Richie!" Pauline answered and smiled. Pauline opened the door and walked in the room first.

It was a large room with two beds on the corners. Pauline left her suitace on the floor and kicked off her All-Star. "I'm exusted!" she said. "What about you, Ava?" she asked and popped her head up to face her. "I'm tiried too! Let's sleep now!" Ava answered and lyied on the bed too.

The sun was in the sky for a very long time now. A pair of light brown eyes opened slowly. Pauline looked around and saw that Ava was still sleeping. Okay here we are now, in Heather's house! Day first! Thank God that we'll not stay for too long! Pauline told to herself.

She checked her mobile phone on the night stand next to her. It was noon. Leaving her phone down she crossed her arms behind her head. Maybeit wasn't a good idea to come here! This is a personal matter and i don't fit in! But if i wasn't fitting in why Ava invited meand why my parents let me? Fuck! This is just so complicated. Jesse told me to keep a close eye on Heather! But i don't she'll do anything! They are here to persued them! No, she'll be fine! I'm condersed more about Ava!" she thought and turned to face her.

She was still sleeping so peacefull. I'm worried about her a lot. i must be with her every second! these were Pauline's thoughts.

"Pauline what are you doing?" a voise came from the bed next to her. "Good morning Ava! I'm not doing anything!" "Oh! You slept good?" Ava asked. "Like a bird. Did you know that ava means like a bird?" "Seriously? I didn't have any idea!" Ava answered and smiled.

Just a few minutes later Pauline and Ava were at the kitchen table eatting breakfast when Richie joined them. "Good morning ladies!" he said and smiled. "Morning Daddy! You slept good, don't you?" Ava said and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "I've slept better! What about you, girls? Pauline everything okay?" he asked looking to Pauline. He promised to her father will take care of her better than his daughter. "Like a bird...." Pauline answered to him. "Daddy did you know that Ava means 'like a bird'?" "Of course and i do that's why we named you Ava. You were sleeping so peacefull like a bird!" Richie said and purred himself a cup of coffee.

"I'm the only one that doesn't know what my name means!" Ava said annoying and took a bite of her breakfast. "Oh yeah you are!" Pauline teased her and laughed. "Hey because you knew what me name means and some other things that i don't know that doesn't make you any better!" "I think it does......" Pauline answered back and laughed again. "Okay stop it!!!" Pauline was still laughing. She stoped when she thought that she maybe pushed it a little.

"Okay girls what do you want to do today? We have all day! We can go for a walk, shopping or whatever you want! I'm in with everything!" Richie changed the subject. "A walk sounds good! My closet is full if i buy a t-shirt is going to expload!" Ava answered. "Yeah, a walk sounds good to me too!" Pauline answered. "So, a walk then?" Richie asked and both girls nobbed.

The was was opened and Heather walked in wearing shorts, t-shirt and shoes. "Good morning! I'm sorry i left you but i went for my morning run!" Heather said and took a bottle of water from the fridge. "It's ok we just came here!" Richie answered. Ava was keep eatting and she didn't even look at her. Pauline on the other hand she was trying to be as polite as she can and she smiled at her.

There was too much silense and Richie broke it. "Me and the girls we're thinking to go for a walk." "Mmm very nice idea! You can go to the beach to walk in the sand. There are lots of beach-volley courts, Pauline i'm sure you'll loved it!" Heather answered and looked to Pauline who her face was lighted up when she heard 'beach-volley'. But when she re-thought it she didn't say nothing about volleyball yesterday. How Heather knew Pauline liked volleyball? Pauline didn't want to comment the fact that Heather knew things that she didn't say.

"Really? That's awesome!" she answered instead. "Plus, there is a new Mall in the area! Ava you'll love shopping in there!" Heather said and looked to her only daughter. "We'll see." she answered annoying.

Ava and Pauline finished their breakfast and were getting ready to go for a walk with Richie. Both dressed in jeans and a t-shirt walked to the living room. There Richie was waiting for them. "Ready girls?" he asked when he saw them coming from the hallway. "Let's get out of here!" Ava said and walked to the door.

Chapter 19: I'm Gonna Fly Like An Airplane

A small light came throught Pauline's curtian straight to her eyes. She opened them slowly and sighed. That day has arrived. If someone told her two years ago that one day she'll travel with Richie Sambora and his daughter in Los Angeles Pauline would say no way. But there she is. In less than an hour Richie with Ava will be in her house.

She really didn't want to know what will happend there and she doesn't want to think about it at all. She sees it like a trip and nothing more. A very weird trip but she'll do whatever to have fun.

She still didn't know how her parents let her go with them. She has no idea what Richie told them the night she came back from a trainning. Maybe he told them the story Ava told her the night Heather came. but these are just details to Pauline and nothing more. One thing is what really matters, that they let her.

Siutcase was already packed from yesterday. Pauline was walking down the stairs with her suitcase in her hands. An another thing that Pauline loved about Richie is that he's not a morning person. So, they're leaving with the afternoon flight. The airplane to Los Angeles leaves at 4.00 p.m. That means they must be there at least one hour before.

The first hours passed really fast and no one knew how Pauline was in the New Jersey airport with Richie and Ava. Pauline looked up and searching for the number of their flight. It was scaring the hell out of her that they still didn't have tickets.

The previous night she was talking with Ava and she told her that they are leaving at 4.00 p.m. After tha little fight about who was going to puy for the tickets Pauline left Richie pay for these. She was still looking puzzled at the big TV screen. There was no flight leaving to Los Angeles at 4.00

"Hey Angel what are you looking at? We must leave now!" Richie said and walked next to Pauline. "With what airplane? There is no flight at 4.00! Are we going on foot?" she asked back. "Ava you didn't tell her?" Richie asked his daughter. "Oups! I've forgot it! Look Pauline we're going with a airplane but a little smaller than the usual......" Ava answered and they all walked to where Richie was going. "What do you mean......." she thought for a second "Oh no! Don't tell me we're going with the Jovi jet?" Pauline asked and her eyes rolled. "Yes, but you must walk a little faster!" Richie said over his showlder. "Perfect!" Pauline answered sarcasticly.

A few minutes later their suitaces where in the plane and they must get it. Richie was the first one who climbed the little stairs and got in the jet. Ava was following, it's been a while since the last she got in there. Pauline on the other hand was still suprised. It was now a part of her life being suprised, she must get used to it.

With a deep breath she walked up the stairs and walked in the Bon Jovi jet. Her jaw fall as she took the first step in there. Man that jet is much bigger than she've thought. There was a little hallway that separetes the two tables with the four leather seats. Richie has already took her seat. Ava shut next to him. She looked back of her showlder and she saw Pauline with the look of lost. "Come on Pauline! We'll be here for the next 4 hours! You'll have all the time you want to explore every inch of it!" Ava said and laughed. "Haha! very funny Ava! I've never been to a privete jet before! And for sure not in this one! But i must admit it is bigger than the photos i've seen!" Pauline answered and shut oppostie from Richie.

The Bon Jovi jet was flying in the sky now for almost an hour. Both girls were wearing headphones in their ears listen to music. Richie was listen to music too. Sadenly he felt that he wanted to write a song. Searching in his i-phone for the notepad. When he found it he run his fingers to the letters. Just in a few minutes these letters became an intro for a song.

"Hey Angel wake up! We're here!" Richie said soflty to the sleepy teenager. Pauline opened her eyes and saw him. This is a morning wake up call. "Oh i'm sorry!" she answered and she sits up in the seat. "What time is it?" she asked. "In New Jersey or here?" "Here!" "Is almost midnight!" Richie answered to her. "Come on Ava's waiting!" he added.

Pauline took her bag and followed Richie. They both got out of the jet. All the three of them walked out of the Los Angeles airport. There was a car waiting for them. They put their suitcases in and climbed in the car. The driver put the machine forward and start driving. Richie was sitting in the front seat while Ava with Pauline on the backseat.

"Where are we staying?" Pauline asked Ava. "In Heather's." she answered annoying. "But don't worry she's not going to say something that you don't like this time!" she added. "Oh, it was okay! Maybe you acted a little bad that moment." "Pauline are you kidding me? I should have slaped her in the face!" Ava answered and looked to Pauline with not a pleasant look. "It wasn't that bad." "Oh yeah? First, she thought you were the housekeper and gave you orders. And then she thought that you were Tori! Jesus! That woman is crazy!" Ava yelled in the car.

"Ava Elizabeth Sambora! You have no right to talk to your mopther like that! And this has nothing to do with that!" Richie said and turned his body to face his daughter. "How can you be so calm Dad? After all that? Maybe it wasn't that good idea to come here after all!" "Ava everybody deserves a second chance. And i gave her one and you must do the same!" Richie said and then he turned in the front seat.

The route passed into silence. The three of them were thinking what was going to happen this weekend. Pauline was the one who was anxious from all. She've heard lots about Heather from both Ava and Jesse. She also asked some Jovi friends about Richie's divorse with Heather. No one liked her. And they were all impresed why Richie married her. At that time she wondered that too. How can Richie marry Heather? She knew it was out of her business but she wanted to know someday.
