Chapter 18: I Am Ready

Pauline once again she pulled to the Bongiovi driveway. She was always feeling butterflies in her stomack every time she was at this road. It was a strange feeling but every time was a lot diferent. This time Pauline was suprised when Jesse called her this morning.

She didn't see him in the last few days and she started missing him. It was hard for them to see each other. They both have things to take care of first.

Pauline parked the car and stoped the engine. She took from the seat next to her some gifts she bought from Jacob and Romeo. She opened the car door and got out. She closed the door and locked the car. She took a look of the road before she crossed it.

She was walking to the sidewalk going to Bongiovi's gate. Two large men were standing there with there arms crossed. She wasn't happy when she saw them. But there was nothing she must be afraid of, she was invited. Pauline was walking closer to them when the right guard said "Hey you stop!" Pauline did what he said and stoped.

"I'm afraid that you trip ends here Miss! You do not have access to this popperty!" the guard added. "I'm sorry but they're wating for me......" Pauline answered with strong voise. "Come on girl! Don't you think you're too young to listen to Bon Jovi?" the guard slapped at her. "And you don't you must do your job and let me in?" she slapped back at him.

"I'm sorry girl but Mr Bongiovi told me not allow anyone pass this gate, i'm sorry!" the guard answered with sad voise. He and the other guard laughed along. Pauline was feeling her temper raising. "Keep laughing! Wait to call him and you'll see who is laughing better!" Pauline answered with devil's voise. Both guard stoped as they saw her pulled her phone from the pocket.

"Hey Jon is Pauline! No, i'm not lost i'm just outside and some guys don't let me go in!" Pauline said to Jon. The two guards froze when they realized she wasn't kidding. "He wants to speak to you!" she said and passed her phone to the one of them. "Hello? Yes, Mr Bongiovi it's all a misunderstood! This will not happend again!" the guard answered and gave to Pauline her phone back.

"Come on girl he's waiting for you!" he said and opened the gate. "Thank you and see ya around!" Pauline answered and put her phone back to her pocket. She was walking when she saw Jesse coming to her side "Hey babe!" he said and gave her kiss "Hey you gorgeous!" she answered and kissed him back. "I'm sorry about the guards! You guys can be very aggressive when you want!" Jesse said and put his one hand on her waist.

"When you say we?" she asked raising her eyebrow "Fans! There were a group of woman waiting for my Dad this morning. They knew the time he went out for a run and they're waiting for him!" Jesse axplained. "Really? And did they get him?" "Well, at the first miles no but they didn't give up that easily!" Jesse said. "We always get what we want!" Pauline answered and stoped him putting her hands on his waist. She moved closer for a kiss and their lips met. "Hmmm! You always get what you want?" he asked when they broke apart. "Always!" "Come in babe is getting cold out there!" Jesse said and walked to the main door of the Bongiovi house.

They walked in and Jesse closed the door behind them. Jon came from the living room "Angel i'm sorry about the guards!" "It's okay! Jesse explained to me!" Pauline answered and gave him a sympathetic look. "Let me take your jacket!" Jesse offered. Pauline took off her jacket and gave it to Jesse. "Where are the boys?" she asked. "They're upstairs! I'm gonna tell them that you're here!" Jon answered and walked up the stairs.

Jon was gone when Jesse came back. "Where is Dad?" he asked her "He went upstairs to tell Jacob and Romeo i'm here!" Pauline answered to his question. "Let's go to the living room!" Jesse offered and took Pauline's hand. Jesse lead her to the living room and shut next to her. "So, ready for the big trip?" he asked.

Her finger were playing in his hand. She didn't want to answer his question because she didn't know if she was ready. "Well, to be honest i don't know! From what Ava told me, she able for everything!" "She's! If we knew it from the beginning things will be diferent now......" Jesse answered.

His eyes went up to Romeo who was running following by Jacob. "Pauline!!!" Romeo yelled and hugged her. "Romeo!" she answered and hugged him back. She highed five with Jacob and got up. "I have something for you guys!" she said and reached for the bags she was holding before. When she found it she said again "A little bird told me that we have here a Fast Car's fan, right Jake?" Jacob's eyes rolled. He loved fast cars. He loved the speed and the sounds they make when they're turning. "So, what are you thining about Grand Turismo 6?" Pauline said and pulled from one bag the casette. Jacob's eyes went wide open when he saw it with his own eyes. "No way......." he said and took it in his hands. "Is for Play Station 3!" "Oh Pauline thanks! You're the best!!!!" he said and gave her a hug.

"And for my little Picasso here......" Pauline turned to Romeo. "I know you love drawing and i found this......" she added pulling a big box from an another bag. She passed it to Romeo. He's blue eyes rolled when he saw a drawing set. It was so big that it hardly fit to his hug. "Oh Pauline! Thank you thank you thank you!" he said and gave her a hug too.

The two young boys left running to their room to play with their new gifts Pauline gave them. On their way upstairs they always cruched with Jon. When he walked to the living he asked "What happend to these two?" "I brought them some presents!" Pauline answered. "Oh Angel you didn't have to!" Jon answered. "Why? We must show the love to the people we love every day!" she answered adding a smile.

"So, where is MY present?" Jesse asked her. "I do have a present for you too Mr Complainer! But you have to wait a little......." Pauline answered waiting for his reaction. "Why i must wait? I don't like waiting...." Jesse complained. "Don't make me said it twice!" she answered looking t him with almst a devil's look.

"Great job, Angel! Tell him who's the boss because he doesn't listen to me!" Jon teased from the other couch. "What? You weren't a good boy? There is no present for you then...." Pauline answered and looked to Jon who winked at her. She was sitting in the couch next to Jesse and on the other couch was Jon sitting.

Jesse pushed her and she layied on the couch. Jesse moved on the top of her and started tickling. "Tell me my present......" he paused for a spare moment waiting for her to answer. "No!" she simply said. "You said no? Now you'll se what will happend to you!" he said and start tickling her again. Pauline was laughing so hard that tears were running from her eyes. "Jess.... we....are.... not.... alo.....ne...." she managed to say between laughing.

When Jesse heard what she was trying to say he stoped sadenly and got out of her. Both Pauline and Jesse were looking Jon who was laughing like crazy. "That was very funny! I must use it to a song....." he said and he was trying hard to stop laughing but he couldn't help himself. It was the moment when his face lighted up. He got up and deseappear from the living room and walked to the studio.

"Another song is coming up! Do these guys stop for a while?" Pauline asked Jesse. She now know when Jon leaves out of nowhere, some lyrics are on his mind. "You know my Dad, he likes progress but he hates change! So, he's always on the run!" "Did i never told you that my Mum has the same day birthday with your Dad?" Pauline asked him. "Really? In the same year?" "Not in the same year! I told you the same day....." he answered back.

They sut there in silence for a several seconds. "Can you give me now my present? You're alone!!!" he asked and locked his eyes with hers. "Well, my Dad is now the owner of the 'Timson' Construction Company as i told you, right?" she started. "Yeah, go on..." "Some problem came out in the Los Angeles annex and he must fly there on late November." she paused and looked at him. "And i thought that it will be a nice idea if you come to my house and stay there for a few days!" she now added.

Jesse froze. The blood stop running throught in veins. His breath was caught in his throat. He felt his knees more weak than ever. He has lost his words. He didn't know what to say. Blue eyes locked with brown ones as Jesse answered "Paul are you really want me to stay with you?" "If i wasn't sure i wouldn't have offered that!" she answered and moved closer to him. "We've been together for so long! We've been throught a lot, don't we?" she asked when she was comfortable in his arms. "I'll be thinking about this for a very long time, one week to be honest. And since my parents plus my sister will be in Los Angeles for 3 days is a very nice opportunity!" she added.

"Paul this is a very huge step in our relationship...." Jesse started but Pauline stoped him. "Jesse i'm ready and i know you're too! I understand that you didn't push me in that departement but i'm not a little girl anymore and i'm ready for this!" Pauline answered looking at him. The sound of her voise make it clear to himself, she was ready. "Are you sure?" he asked and looked down to the girl who was in his arms. "More than ever....." she answered and kissed his lips. 

Chapter 17: I Bet Is Warm In California

Pauline opened the door of her house and closed it behind her as she walked in. She wasn't in a mood of talking or doing anything right now. She was still puzzled of what she saw and heard in the Sambora house. She didn't even notised her mother who was sitting on the couch watching a movie. "Hey Pauline you're here early!" Katerina said looking to her daughter. "Yeah, we finished sooner and here i am!" she answered and passed in front of the TV and stoped. It was a movie with Heather.

"Could you please turn that off?" she said out of nowhere. her mother rasied an eyebrow. "Why?" "Turn that shit off! I don't want to see her again!" she said pissed and took from the table the remote and turn off the TV. She shut on the couch next to her mother, her hands were in her head. Katerina was watching her daughter without knowing what was going on. "Pauline what happend?" she asked and moved closer to Pauline. Pauline looked to her mother and said "She's back! She wants to destroy him! And i will not let this happen!" Her voise was already raised. "Who's back? And who wants to destroy who?" Katerina asked. She was still puzzled from her daughter's behavior. "Heather wants to destroy Richie!" Pauline answered raising her voise even more. "Who's Heather? And how she'll destroy him?" "His ex-wife and she wants to see him in the bottom! And she'll make it! I must help them!" Pauline said and got up from the couch. Katerina grabed her arm and stoped her "Pauline this is personal! You must stay out of this!" "You said that we must help our friends! If Richie is sad, Ava will be sad and if Ava will be sad i'll be sad too! And you know what? When i needed her she was there for me and now she needs me!" Pauline answered and walked to the stairs without waiting for her mother to answer.

Arriving at her room she shut on the bed. It was still hard for her to understand what ava said to her before. How can Heather do something like this? But if she was able to do something like that she can do much worse things. She've never saw Richie like this before don't even Ava. Now, she didn't suprised her the fact that she calls her with her name. After Ava's Dirty Little Secret she wasn't sure if she could look Richie in the eyes again, knowing what he've been throught. Pauline must take to her grave what Ava said. She mustn't tell any one, that will be very dificult.

It didn't take long for Monday to arrive. Pauline was suprised when she saw Ava was there. If she were her she didn't know if she'll go to school. They were in the class when Ava send her a message.

We need to talk.......

Was the only thing was written in the small of piece of paper. Pauline rolled her eyes. What will Ava want from her? She had a feeling that this was not going to be good. The bell rung. Ava took Pauline's arm and walked her to a place that Pauline have never saw before in the school, she didn't even know it exists. They shut on the bench and Ava started.

"First, my Dad told me to tell you that he's very sorry that you saw and heard all these! And i'm sorry too!" "It's alright Ava! Bad things happend to all of us. What you want to tell me?" Pauline asked the key question. "Have you ever been to LA before?" she asked looking in her eyes. "Nope!" "Good! Tell your parents you're going to LA for the next weekend!" "To LA? Doing what exactly?" Pauline asked and rolled her eyes. "When you left my Dad told me that Heather want to proove us that she've changed and she invited us to her house in LA! And i don't want to go there only with my Dad because if she'll do something to him i will want to kill her and you can stop me!" Ava explained. Pauline laughed a little. "Hold on! You're saying that your mother wants to prove to you and Richie she've changed and you'll go for a weekend to her house to proove it?" 

"Yeah! But you must keep a very close eye to her! And she is NOT my mother anymore!" "But Tori?" "Dad let her know and she was more pissed than him! That man does never pissed off? If i were him i will have killed her!" Ava answered. "Look Ava i don't know if my parents will let me! Is not that they don't trust Richie but....." Pauline singed, she must tell her what her mother said. Pauline thought about it before she got on bed. "This is about you and Richie and not about me! I really like that you opened up to me and i really apreased it! But this is too personal and i think that Heather must persuade you and Richie and not me!" Pauline axplained and now she's waiting for Ava to answer.

"Pauline i understabd how you're feeling right now! And i know that all these are very weird to you! Fuck! There are weird to me too! But since i met you one year ago i saw how is to have true friends that they are worried about you! I can't hide you that when your friends from Greece called i'm jelous because none of my friends in LA never called me, don't even in my birthday!" Ava said. It was the truth.

Pauline looked at her and sighed. "Why you never told me that before?" "I wasn't sure if you're the one! I mean i wasn't sure if i can trust you for everything! But now i know...... you're the best friend i was looking for in my life. I understand that is too personal but i need your help with that! I can't do this alone!" Ava answered and her eyes filled with tears when she finished the last setence. 

At this point of her life Ava need some help. Pauline hated herself. She mustn't have said that, she must keep it to herself. But she wanted to be clear to Ava and because of that she regrete what she said. She took a look at her, her blue eyes were filled with tears. She hated it when she was crying. 

"Ava i'm sorry! I didn't mean to apset you! Is just........" she paused for a second "Fuck! I don't know what to say! Is the only thing i'm thinking since Saturday! I can't forget the look in your faces when you saw her in the door! And i still can't believe she've done this to him!" Pauline answered.

"Now you know that she's a bitch! Pauline please i know what she can do! She doeasn't like loosing! Please come with us! Just say is a trip......." Ava begged one more time.

Pauline was looking to nowhere for a few minutes. What if Ava is right? What if she really is able to do ANYTHING? But i can't stop her...... i don't even know her!! Shit! What i'm going to do? she told to herself.

Ava was keeping a close eye to Pauline all the time. It was obvious she was in deep thought. That scared a little Ava. She has no idea what will Pauline's answer will be. Pauline slowly turned and faced her.

"I'll go with you!" was the only thing she could say after all she have heard.

Chapter 16: She'd Come Like An Angel Or A Devil In Disguise

Richie was started at her as she talked. "Can we go somewhere else to talk! I don't like her....." Heather said. "Her name is Pauline and i don't care what you think about her! She's a better person than you are anyway!" Richie answered.

Pauline let Heather's coment flow by and said to Richie "It's okay Richie i was going to leave anyway! Ava thanks for the Algebra! Good night!" Pauline said and walked to the door. "No, Pauline don't leave! Can we go out so my dad and her can talk?" Ava said looking to Pauline with a look on her face like she wanted a showlder to cry on.

"Alright!" Pauline answered. She couldn't say no to Ava. She had a feeling Ava will tell her a story. Richie watched his daughter and best friend going outside. "Okay, Heather now we're alone! What do you want?" Richie asked and he faced her. "I told you Richie! I want Ava back! You took her away from me!" Heather answered. She was going to use her acting skills to get what she wanted.

"Are you fucking kidding me Heather? Who was the one who didn't Ava in the first place? You didn't want her! You said her a fault! But the real fault was our marriage!" Richie said rasing his voise. "I made a mistake, Richie! When you and Ava left from LA i left alone and lonely! You must believe me, Rich!" she said and move closer to him.

"You have Jack, Mark and George to be with you when you feel alone! This is what you're been doing when i was on tour right?" Richie asked with sercasm in his voise. "I've changed Rich!" "No, Heather people like you will never change! You destroied our daughter's life!" "She doesn't know the truth!"

"Yes, Heather she does! And called you with the word that suit you the most 'bitch'! Was the word she used and i don't blame her!" Richie explained to Heather. "You told her?" "No, Heather i didn't tell her! She find it out alone!" Richie told her the truth.

"No, Richie you're a lier! You told her what you thought was really happend to get her in your side!" "Heather i'm sick of your games! And if you don't remember i have the FULL castody of Ava! Now, get the fuck out of my house!" Richie said getting pissed.

Heather walked and shut on the couch. Her head was in her hands and start crying. She knew very well Richie hated when she was crying. "Richie i've changed! Why is so dificult for you to understand?" she said looking at him. "Heather i told you before that! You will never change! You're jelous of everything around you! You were jelousing me and the guys because we're making hits and you didn't get a role to any movie!"Richie answered avoiding to look at her crying.

She knew his weak point and she was using it agenst him. "You're wrong Richie! When you're away on tour i wa so alone!" "That's not a reason for chaeting on me with the pool boy, your personal trainer and all the others! Look don't you think Ava and i get hurt enough from you? And to be honest i don't give a fuck about myself. You destroied my daughter's life and i will never forgive you that!" Richie said and he finally faced her.

He didn't care if she was crying or not. But what she've done to him wouldn't get heal. "Richie i can prove to you and i Ava i've changed! I know i made a mistake but i've changed i really i am!" Heather said. It didn't take her long to pull herself back together. Her plan A to take Richie in her side failed. But she wasn't give up that easily. She came here to win with any cost.

She wiped her tears from her eyes and stood up from the couch. She gave a look at Richie and start walking in circles with him in the center. "Richie you can't fool me! I know you good enough to tell you missed me, you missed us!" she said and start making ups and down to his back. "I know you want me after all these years!" she said and moved her hands to his hard chest.

"And i know you can make love to me right here, like our first time! And i'm sure you never forget it because i didn't forget it either! I can't wait any more Richie! Make me yours again!" she said and pleasure run all over her.

Richie turned and put her hands away gently. "I'm sorry Heather but your plan B failed too! I'm not the man i used to be when i was with you! Besides that what makes you think i will ever make love to you again? What Jack didn't satisfied you anymore?" "Richie all i want is a change to prove to Ava and you i'm a better mother! Will you give me that chance?" Heather asked him. Richie was unable to answer her question.

Meanwhile in the garden Pauline and Ava shhut in the table next to the big lighted pool. The weather was good and i little chill sometimes. The sky was full of stars and has nothing to do with the yesterday's weather. It was raining all day. And from what it seems the storm came today.

Pauline was looking close Ava. She really didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable but she wanted to know why Heather is there. She understands that Ava might not want to talk about it. "It's a nice night, don't you think?" Pauline asked. "Nice? She just came here! And that's not nice! You have any fucking idea what is going to happen!" Ava almost yell to Pauline.

Since the day she learn it she keep it to herself. Today was the day she wanted to expload. "You remember the day we met and you asked a question about Heather?" Ava asked. "yeah, we were in my house!" "And i told you that one day i'll tell you what happend?" "Yeah!" "Well, that day is today!" "Look Ava if you don't want to talk about it i understand!" "No, i have to tell someone!" "Okay, i'm listeing!" Pauline answered and shut back in the chair.

"As you know my dad and Heather got married in Paris in 1994. In 1997 i was born. Heather didn't want to keep me but dad persuad her and kept me. She didn't want me because she thought that being pregant will destroy her image and she wouldn't be able and get any role after she gave birth to me. And on the other hand we have dad! He was more happy than her when they leant they are going to be parents! It was the only one who loved me in the first place! But i bet you already know that, don't you?" Ava asked.

Pauline was looking her with a strange look. How can a mother don't want her child? "Yeah, i know that!" Pauline answered. "Good. Now, the next one no one knows about it!" Pauline nobbed and she understands that what she was going to listen will be a Dirty Little Secret.

"Before we moved in New Jersey they have a shared castody. One day i was in Heather's i wanted something from my dad's house and i went there. I went to his office and there it was, a CD. You know that  i want to learn everything and if i mustn't learn it. So, i opened his laptop and watched it. I was her in their bed with Mark, the pool boy making love! I couldn't watch it and i passed some days. Then it was here again in the garage with Jack! I couldn't watch any longer and i left! And from that day she is not my mother!" Ava finished her Dirty Little Secret.

Pauline couldn't believe in her ears. How is that possible. The colour in Pauline's face have changed, she looked more paler. "Pauline are you okay?" Ava asked. "Yeah, i'm alright! Just a little shocked! And now why do you think she's back? I mean after what she've done she has no right to come back!" "I know what she wants!" Ava said suriously. Her eyes were looking to nowhere with anger. "She wants to destroy him! And i will never let this happen!" She added. Pauline couldn't follow they way she thinks and asked. "Destroy who?" Ava turned her head and faced her. "Richie!" was her answer.

Pauline looked puzzled. What's left for her to destroy? She took everything from him? Ava got up and waled a few steps away. "Destroy Richie how? There's nothing left!" Pauline answered from the chair. Ava crossed her arms and said "He has something! He has me! She knows if she uses the love of him to me he'll make him so weak! She wants to see him in the bottom like she was someday! She's the Angel or better the Devil in disgiuse and she does not want to loose!" Pauline got up and walked next to her.

"Do you think she'll make it?" Pauline asked with anxety in her voise. That was the last thing she wanted to listen. She never liked Heather from the first time. And now after what she've heard she has no idea how can a woman like her think in that way. That woman wasn't for Richie.

"I don't know Pauline! I don't know!" Ava answered. She really has no idea what was going to happen. She knew that her father was strong enough to say no to her. But she only knew his weak point. And Heather knew it too. Ava was 100% sure she used her acting skills to make him change his mind.

Chapter 15: Living Life Was Such A Fight Until You Came Along

Just a week later they were having a very important test in Algebra . Pauline wasn't a fan of Algebra but was making an effort to understand whatever she was able to. Monday afternoon found Pauline studing Algebra. She was sitting in her bedroom with the Algebra book for company.She was trying to learn by heart at least the types. It was the time she was bored as hell when her cell phone rung.

Looking to ID that came in the front line she answered it "Ava you're so on time! I'm studing Algebra here and i do have some questions!" "Okay, grab your things and come to my house to study and watch a movie!" "Hold on, your dad is home right?" Pauline asked. "Yeah, and?" "Look Ava i really like the idea but maybe you can have a little daughter and father time!" "It was his idea......" Ava said exactly what Pauline wanted to hear. "Alight! I'll be there in 20 minutes!" "Great! See ya! Bye!" "Bye!" Pauline said and hung up the phone.

She stood up from the chair and went downstairs. There she found her mother. "Mum can i go to Ava's house to study?" "You and Ava together? Study? That's the best joke i've ever heard!" "Come on mum i'm surious! We're writting a test tommorow and Ava owns me a favour!" "Okay, then you can go! But you'll be there before 10.00!" Katerina said pointing the clock on the wall. "Thank you!" Pauline said and gave a quick hug to her mother.

Ten minutes later Pauline left her house heading to the Samboras. Parking the car in their driveway and she got out. Looking at the house she laughed. She always wanted to visit his house when she was Greece but she never thought that she going to. But meeting him was an another story, a longer one. She rung the bell and wait for someone to answer it.

Thankfully the door opened pretty fast by Ava. "Hey, girl come in! You came really fast!" Ava said and let Pauline walk in. "I have lots of question in Algebra! Let's go i must be home at 10.00!" "Relax we have 4 hours ahead of us! And who told you we're going to talk about only for Algebra........" Ava said with the look that she wanted to tell her so much. "Okay, just Algebra goes first!" "Okay, let's go upstairs!" Ava suggested and both walked the stairs and went to Ava's room.

They start studing. Ava liked Algebra and she didn't have any problem to help Pauline. Pauline on the other hand was making a very bif effort to understnd what Ava wa saying to her. She didn't have a problem that Ava was explaining to her in English but she've never heard anything like this before. Ava was very suprised when Pauline didn't know the basic in Algebra. Pauline told her that she was going school in Greece and not in an another state of the America.

A knock in the door made them stop. Richie walked in "Hey, Angel what you've been doing?" "I'm good, you King?" "Pretty good thanks! You do you want to come done for a break?" Richie asked. "Yeah, basicaly we finished!" Ava said closing the book which were in the desk. "Good, i'm going to order some pizza! Are you girls in?" "I'm in....." Ava said first. "Me too!" Pauline answered second. "Okay!" Richie answered and left.

A few minutes later the two girls were in the kitchen and pizza was ordered. "I want schools done!" Pauline said. "Is not that bad, i can handle more!" "You always liked school! And i don't want to think about the final exams!" "But you did great last year! To be honest i'm amazed. It was your first year in the states and after all that you managed to pass all the classes!" Ava said honest. She was proud for her friend. "After what exactly?" Pauline asked a little suprised. "Come on, i mean i'll never forget the look on your face the first time your walked in that house!" "Oh, you're talking about this! Well, i've never thought i was going to be right here with you! I mean i was sure that i was never going to meet them!" Pauline said.

Richie came from the studio "Meet who?" he asked as he walked in the kitchen. "You, Kidd, Joker and Teek!" Pauline answered honestly to Richie. She knew that she couldn't lie to him in front of his face. "Oups, sorry wrong question!" Richie answered feeling a little empraced from his question. "It's okay!" "Wanna talk about it? I've always wanted to ask you some questions!" Richie asked and shut in the chair. "Go ahead!" Pauline gave them the green light to start.

"Okay, the thing that suprised me the most about you is that you're so calm! I mean when Ava tolod me you're a fan i will not lie to you i was terified at first. But when you walked in the house i felt that you'll going to be okay!" Richie explained to her. "Well i was not always like that! That was what i promised to my frineds the day i left or better that was the advise they all gave me! When to told them i'll moved to Red Bank, New Jersey Melina told me that Jon is living some close. So, they all advised me to stay calm because if i let myself free i'm not sure you'll live for to long!" Pauline answered.

"But why you can't free your self? I'm your best friend here right?" Ava asked. "Yes you are but is really hard to explaine! But i want to tell you that whatever happens here no ones know it not even my friends or family! No one you must believe me!" Pauline looking more to Richie. "It's okay Angel!" Richie answered.

"Dad you should check out her phone! She has more pictures that you didn't they exist!" Ava said looking to Pauline's direction. "Really?" Richie asked with raised his eyebrow. "You don't belive her? Okay you'll see with your own eyes then!" Pauline said and left the kitchen walking to the living room to take her phone when the bell rung.

"Pizza's here! I'll get it!" Pauline yelled from the living room and walked to answer the door. Pauline opened the door and her jaw felt. Mrs Heather Locklear was standing there in front of her. Heather smiled and gave to Pauline her jacket and whatever she was carring. She walked in the house and told her "You take my staff in the master bedroom! Prepare the bathroom, the flight was very tiried and i need a bath!" Pauline was looking with the look of lost.

She looked back to where her 'staff' was. It was more than 10 siutaces. Richie and Ava came from the kitchen "How much is Angel?" he started but instaed of the pizza boy he saw his ex-wife. "Heather what are you doing here?" he asked with not pleasant look. "Is this how you welcome a guest in your house, Richie?" she asked and walked to his side. "To be a guest that mean i invited you! And i didn't! Now take your staff and leave the house!" Richie said more angry than ever.

"Oh oh Richie you alway talk to much when it's no need! Today our daughter turned to 16!" Heather passed Richie said walked to where Ava was standing and went for a hug but Ava pulled away. "I turned to 16 ten days ago, Heather!" Ava answered giving more emfasis to her name. That woman wasn't her mother anymore.

Heather was so in sock by her daughter's answer. She tryied to get closer to her but Ava pulled away one more time. Ava had the anger look in her face, it was like Heather had killed someone she loved very much.

Pauline was still standing there next to the door. She was trying to understnd what was going on in front of her eyes. Heather knen she must talk to them but not now. She turned to Pauline and said "You, what are you waiting for? I gave you some orders! My staff will not go upstairs at their own!"

Richie was next to Heather. "Angel, don't do it! She's leaving now......" was what he said. "Angel? Is that your new girlfriend Rich? Don't you think she's too young for fucking her?" Heather told him with the look she always has.

That was Richie and Ava were pissed. Ava wanted to kill her right now. She caughter by her arm and put her finger in her face and said "If you ever speak to Pauline like that i swear to God Heather i'll kill!" Ava said looking her in the eyes. She have never speak to anyone lese in her whole like like that. But she didn't even care she didn't have right to talk to Richie about Pauline like that.

"Heather what do you want? Money? Just name a fucking number and leave!" Richie tried to said calmy and opened his wallet. "There is something that i want! I want the daughter you took from me!" Heather said meaning every word was coming out of her mouth. She will not leave New Jersey without Ava.

Chapter 14: One Year Gone

Pauline was standing oce again in the Sambora's doorstep waiting for someone to answer the door. Tori opened the door with a smile. "Hello, Pauline come inside!" she said and Pauline walked in. She found there Richie sitting in the couch "Hey King!" "Oh hello Angel! Everything ok for tonight?" Richie answered looking at her. "Yeah, everything is under control! Don't worry! I'll bring her back at 9.00!" Pauline said and saw Ava walking down the stairs slowly. She lifted her head and said to Ava "Jesus Sambora! Come one move your money maker i have a game ya know!" "Oh Timson could you please shut up? I'm coming!" Ava answered and stood next to her. "Did your mother came in New Jersey 17 years ago?"Ava asked. Pauline raised an eyebrow. "No, she didn't! Why are you asking?" "Because you talk like uncle David, don't she dad?" Ava asked. "Maybe, you should check this Angel!" Richie answered from the couch.

"No, that couldn't be possible geneticaly! Joker has blue eyes and all three of his kids have blue eyes too. My mum has green eyes and i have brown eyes. So according to statistics green eyes are stronger than the blue......" Pauline start explaining. "Oh she started again!" Ava said annoying. She placed her hands on Pauline's shoulders and she walked her to the door. "..... so i'll have green eyes and not brown! because my dad has brown eyes......" Pauline keep talking and Ava opened the door "Bye Tori and Richie!" Pauline said before Ava closed the door.

Hours later Pauline's game was finished and the two girls were taking a little walk in the town. "You're very good at it!" Ava said. "Thanks! But i have to keep practising...." Pauline answered and little annoying. "I'm sure one day you'll be great volleyball player!" "And i'm sure that one day you'll hold in your hands your first Oscar!" Pauline said and crossed her fingers. "From your mouth to God's ear!" Ava answered.

The checked some new stores for them but Pauline has something else in her mind too. Tommorow she met Jesse one year ago. She wanted to buy him something special because he's speciual to her. Pauline didn't pay any attetion to the women clothes and went straight to the men's.

"Hey, Pauline what are you doing here? Come i found a dress that suits to you perfectly!" Ava said when she came closer to Pauline. "Thanks, but i'm looking for a present for Jesse right now?"Pauline answered looking at the clothes which were in front of her. "Oh, sure! I must find one for Alex too!" "That will be hard....." Pauline answered.

They searched a little more. Pauline couldn't find anything that she liked. She left the last store leaving Ava still in and she sut on the bech outside. Ava was walking pissed to her side "Where the fuck you where? I was looking for you everywhere!" "I'm sorry that i left you in but i don't like anything....." Ava sighed and sut next to her. "Me too! Why is so hard to find the right one?" "I have no idea....." Pauline answered shaking her head.

Pauline's mobile phone start runging. She pulled it out of the pocket and saw the ID, it was Richie. "Hello?" "Hey, Angel is Richie! We're ready here! Take her and come home..... and don't say it's me!" "Ok, mum i will be there in a 20 minutes!" Pauline answered. "Great, we'll waiting!" "Ok, bye see you there!" Pauline answered and hung up.

"Why mums are so nervous?" Pauline said and stood up. "You're mum is not nervous! You must see mine....." Ava answered and got up too. "Come on little princess i'll take you home or your dad is going to kill me....." Pauline said and laughed with Ava.

Arriving at the Sambora house Pauline got out of the car with Ava who looked at her with a weird look on her face "You said your mum is waiting you home!" "She does but i want to ask Richie something about a song and since i met him...." "Fine!" Ava said and lokked to the house. It looked so peacefull and quite like no one was there. "I don't think he's here!" Ava said and crossed the road with Pauline. "Why?" "Look there's no lights on!" "Maybe he's in the studio....." Pauline answered and wait for Ava to opened the door.

Ava opened the door and walked in following by Pauline. Pauline closed the door. She couldn't see anyone and she thought that they'll be in the garden. Ava turn on the lights and she turns. As the lights went on they were all the people Ava loved standing there smiling.

Ava's keys hit the floor when she saw them all together "Holy shit!" she said and her hands were covering her mouth. Pauline left her side and walked in the middle of the living room. Tori came from the kitchen holding the lalgiest  birthday cake Ava have seen so far.

She was still standing there when everyone start singing the happy birthday song. Ava blew out the candles in the cake and kissed everyone was in the room. Kiising everyone in the room was took some time.

"Hey guys there's a party waiting us outside! Let's go!" Richie said and everyone followed him to the garden. There was a buffet on the one corner of the garden. Tables were placed next to the pool. The whole garden was decorated in Ava's style and she loved every inch of it.

Pauline was standing to her favourite spot in the garden. Jesse was looking for since she came with Ava and he still didn't have the chance to talk to her. He had the idea that she'll be in her favourite spot and he was right. He walked to her side and wrape his arms around her waist. "What are you doing here babe?" he asked. "Nothing just thinking....." "Of what?" Pauline slowoly turned and faced him. "All started right here one year ago!" "Yeah, it all started here! What a year!" "The best year of my life....." "Me too babe!" Jesse said and placed his lips on hers for a kiss.

When they broke apart Pauline asked "What do you think will happend next?" "Nothing will happend next! We'll live happily together for the rest of our livies!" Jesse said honestly. He wanted to share his life with Pauline. He couldn't imagine a single day without her and he didn't want to.

"You run too fast Bongiovi!" "What you don't want us to be together?" Jesse asked a little suprised. "Of course and i do smartass but we're too young to make so big plans!" "Love is what really matters! And thank God we have lots of that!" he answered and kissed her again but with a little more passion than the previous time.

They were sitting there alone before Romeo came "Uncle Richie said to come over there!" he said pointing the group of people. "Okay, Romy we're coming!" Jesse answered and smiled and Romeo left. "What's that?" Pauline asked him and took some steps "I have no idea! Let's find out!" Jesse answered and joined the others.

Richie took the microphone in his hands and said "Good evening ladies and gentleman! First of all i want to thank all of you for being here this special day! And because i know some of you hate speeches, Lemma!" he said looking to David who was holding a plate full of food and eatting. Everybody laughed. "And because there is no party without dancing..... men take your woman's hand and let's go dancing!" Richie finished and left the microphone to the table.

All men took the woman's hand they love and start dancing slow. "You look so beautiful Paul!" Jesse said to Pauline. "With these clothes?" "Whatever you're wearing looks perfect on you!" "Thank you! And you look so so so gorgeous! Maybe i should lock you in my room and keep you for myslef!" "That will work! I have no problem we can do that whenever you want!" "You talk too much Bongiovi!" Pauline said and placed her head on his showlder while they were dancing under the sound of shoft music.

Chapter 13: Sugar Daddy

Being a student was always dificult. But when you want to talk to the one who was sitting on the front desk during in class, that needs some skills. And from what it seems Pauline has a lot of practising to do. Mrs McCurdy was teaching them but Pauline never was a fan of school along with Ava.

It was the first hour of the school day and the two girls were bored as hell. Ava teared a piece of her notebook and wrote. Today the episode in Good Luck Charlie will be on TV! Do you want to come over for lunch? She readed one more time and sent it back to Pauline.

Pauline read it and answered That will be great! But your Sugar Daddy got back home yesterday! You and Tori must missed him! Don't worry about the episode i'll watched from home! she send it in front to Ava.

Ava read it a got a little pissed. My dad and Tori had all the night and today to see each other! Don't worry........ Please come! And if you came i'll tell all i saw when i was there.......

Pauline's eyes rolled when she read the last setence. You know how they call it Sambora? Extortion! But it worked... i'm coming!!!!!! :)

Pauline wrote and send it in front to Ava. Ava read it and a big smile apeared to her face. Pauline was funny like she always was. She knew that Tori and her father will have no problem that Pauline was coming. She was really happy that she has a friend like her.

The school day had finished and both Pauline and Ava were in the Pauline's car going to Ava's house. They arrived there in time. Ava pulled from her school bag the keys and opened the door and walked i following by Pauline. "Dad tori we're home!" Ava yelled and left the bag to the couch. "When you say we?" Tori asked coming from the kitchen. "Oh Pauline what a suprise! How are you?" "I'm good! You?" "Very good! Come on girls i made some ice cream and i think it's ok if eat any, right?" Tori asked but she didn't wait for an answer.

Tori pulled the ice cream from the freezer and put it in three balls. "Where is dad?" Ava asked. "He's in his office making some important phone calls! He'll be back in a minute!" Tori answered. Ava thankfully didn't thought what kind these phonecalls were. Her birthday were coming and Richie wanted to celebrate her Sweet 16 with the best way.

"Mmm Tori that ice cream is so delicious!!" Pauline said when she ate the first bite. "Thank you Pauline! I'll give you the resipy if you want!" "That will be great...." Pauline answered and smiled.

The three girls were sitting in the kitchen talking when Richie came in "Hello to the three of the most beautiful women in the world!!" he said. All of them blashed an Pauline even more "Hey SD!" Ava said and kissed her father. "SD? What's that?" Richie asked back. "Sugar Daddy! You don't even remeber the titles of your own songs? You're geting old......." Ava teased her father. "Not old just older princess..... When  you'll come to my age....." Richie started but Ava stoped him "Bla! Bla! Bla!" she said laughing along with Pauline.

The two young ladies went to the living room to watch a movie. Richie explained to Tori the plan he had from Ava's Sweet 16. But they couldn't make it alone, they needed some help. And they're going to find it just right there to the living room. "But how you'll get Pauline to your office to talk to her?" Tori asked. Richie sut there thinking when he hit him. "I'll say that i need her opinion in a song as a fan!" "And why you didn't ask me?" Tori asked back. Richie looked puzzled again. "I want the opinion of a teen!" "That sounds better! Don't waist any time! Go!" Tori said and Richie left the kitchen.

Richie walked to the living room and cleared his throat. "Angel can you come to my office for a second i need your opinion on a song!" he said and Pauline turned to face him. But Ava answered "Why don't you ask Tori? You're watching a movie!" "I want an opinion from the new generation! And since Angel's here......" "Alright i'm coming!" Pauline said and stood up.

Richie opened the door of his office and let Pauline walk in first and closed the door behind him. "Have a seat Angel!" he said pointing the chair. Pauline did what Richie told her. He sut opossite to her behind the desk. "So where is the song?" "I told you a little lie! I want to talk about something else....." Richie said looking to Pauline with a weird look. Pauline looked back at him with the look of lost. Why he lie to her?

"As you know Ava has her birthday next Friday and it her Sweet 16! I don't know how you in Greece celebrate them but we here in USA we organize huge parties! I remember when i turned to 16 but this was a loong time ago! I'll get to the point! Toru and i organize her a big party here next Saturday! But the problem is that this party is a suprise! And we can not decorate the house when Ava is here!" "That all sounds great but were i fit in?" Pauline asked. "We want you to go out with Ava for some hours so we can decorate the house! And when you're done you'll come here and we'll take care of the rest!" Richie finished.

"I can do that! I'll have a game starts at 4.00 p.m. and then we can go for a walk or something like that! What time Ava and i have to be here?" "If you're here about 9.00 will be great! Can you talk with that Alex about the party?" Richie asked. "Sure!" Pauline answered and smilied. "Is he a good guy?" "Yeah, he is! But why don't you ask Ava?" "She didn't open up to me or to Tori and i don't know anything about him!" Richie said with every father has when he's talking about his childern.

"Relax Richie! He's a good guy and he loves her! I think that's enough!" Pauline answered with a calmy look. "Please if everything happend let me know!" "I will! Do you want me anything else?" "No, you can go!" Richie answered and Pauline got up from the chair. "Angel?" Richie yelled while Pauline was standing in the doorstep of the office. "Thank you!" Richie said looking to her with the milk chocalate eyes. Pauline nobbed and left the office closing the door behind her.

Walking back to the livin room she sut next to Ava. "How was the song? Did you like it?" Ava asked. "Yeah, it was good! If he correct some details in the lyrics and work a little more in the music will be a nice song!" Pauline answered. "Do you think he acts a little weirder than usual?" Ava asked. "I don't know! To me he's the same! Maybe he's anxious about the tour!" Pauline answered. "Now, let's watch the movie! Do you think they're going to find the killer?" she asked and watched the TV.

Moments later after all four of them watched Ava in Good Luck Charlie Ava had some questions in Latins and she knw that Pauline was very good at it. So, they sut in the kitchen table and studied. "Have i told you that i hate Latins before?" Ava said and sut back to the chair. "More than 10 times the last 30 minutes! Don't stat at me these exercises are not going to be solved alone! You have to try a little Ava!" Pauline said and took the notebook from Ava's hands. "Oh Jesus are you trying to kill me? Look how you wrote sum! That's it! I can't help you anymore!" Pauline almost yelled and Richie got scared and he hide behind the door.

"Can i come in Angel? Or are you going to shut me?" he said with only his head out the rest ofhis body was hided. "I don't know about you but Ava will be shut in the heart....." Pauline answered and Richie walked in. "Just look how she wrote the verb sum! I'm going to jump throught the window......" she said and passed the notebook to Richie. Richie took it and rolled his eyes. "Why you didn't wrote the infinitive of the Future tense?" Richie asked his daughter. "Pauline told me that when a verb has no soupino it hasn't!" Ava answerd. "Yeah, but the auxiliary verb sum has!" Pauline answered and took the notebook back from Richie's hands.

Pauline's mobile start buzzing and smiling she picked it up. "Hello Paul! Where are you?" Jesse asked. "Hey Jess! I'm in Ava's you?" "Home and i'm boring! Wgat are you doing up there?" "Trying to teach Ava some Latins but it didn't work!" Pauline answered him. "Did uncle Richie told you about the suprise party for Ava's Sweet 16?" "Yeah, he did!" Pauline answered smiply because Ava was there and she didn't want to suspect something. "Do you have a game that day, don't you?" "Yeah, i do at 4.00 p.m. in Red Bank!" "What time do you want me to come to pick you up?" Jesse asked forgotten that Ava's party is just after Pauline's game. "What? Why you can't come to see me?" Pauline said with eyes rolled.

She just had the idea. Jesse will not be able to go with Pauline and she'll ask for Ava to go with her. "Pauline are you crazy? I told you now what time to pick you up!" "Okay, Jesse i understand! I gotta go now! See ya!!" she said and hung up.

Ava looked at her with a weird look on her face. "What happend?" "He can't come to see me he has practise that day for the Monday's game!" Pauline answered to Ava. "Oh don't worry i'll go with you! And maybe we can go for some shopping or dinner! How does sounds like?" Ava offered. "That's good! I'll pick you up around 2.30!" Pauline said. "Great!" Ava answered and smilied.

Ava loved spending time with Pauline. Together have a great company to each other. Who could imagine that all these strated with a project from the history class. Ava had a feeling from the fist she saw Pauline wasn't like her friends in LA. Ava called them friends but Pauline didn't. What kind of friends were when they didn't call Ava? Not even to her birthday.

At this departemnt Ava was jelous for Pauline's relationship with her friends back in Greece. They were at the other side of the Atlantic Ocean and they were still in touch. Now, she knew that these weren't her real friends were the fake ones.

Chapter 12: Lie To Me

Back in the everyday routine of school and trainnings. The school had opened for three weeks now and Pauline wanted them to close again. She didn't like going in school lately and she didn't know why.

Lunch time in the school. Pauline had bought her lunch and sut on a table and start eatting it alone. A few nimutes ago she was with Ava, Zack and Alex. But Ava left with Alex and Zack went to check out some friends he knew.

She took a bit of the meetballs. She laughed when she realized what happend in this room when she wanted to eat meetballs. Ava with Alex opened the cafeteria door and were searching for Pauline. "There she is!" Alex said pointing out her. "Let's go!" Ava said and they both run to Pauline's table. Pauline saw them running and said "Hey, guys slow down!" "We're not any random guys......." Alex started. "We're Romeo and Juliet!" they said together.

Pauline almost spill out the water. "You took the role?" she asked with eyes wide open. "Yes, we did!" Ava answered and couldn't stop smiling. "Oh guys i'm so proud of you!" Pauline said and got up. She hugged them both. "That's why we left so fast before! And sorry about that! Where is Zack by the way?" Alex said and sut on the table with Ava and Pauline. "He went to see some friends, i don't thinks is gonna stay too long!" Pauline replied and took a sip of the water. "Man, i still can't believe it! You both will make your dreams come true!" Pauline said. "We have road ahead of us! Is just a school play!" Alex replied. "Not, just a school play, THE school play! We have to learn our parts and make reherseals! And all that staff...... i'm wondering how i will do them all..." Ava said.

Both Pauline and Alex turned to face her. "What else do you have exept from school?" Alex asked. "You remember the day you asked me to go out and i said no?" Ava asked adressing to Alex who he nobbed in agreement. "I want to a real audittion...." "And?" Pauline asked waiting for a possitive answer. "And they took me! I start the reherseals on Friday after school!" "Oh my God Ava! That's amazing!" Pauline said first and hugged her. "I'm so happy for you!" she said when they broke apart. "Thanks!" "But why you  didn't tell me?" Alex asked Ava and hugged her. "I wanted to tell you when we're all together but i couldn't wait for Zack. Do you think he's going to be mad?" "No way! But you didn't tell us the most important is a movie or a serie?" Alex asked again. "Well, is a serie that i've never watched before!" "Tell us the title!" Pauline said and Alex agreed. "Good Luck Charlie. But i don't you'll know it...." "You gotta be fucking kidding me? is one of my favourite series! Don't tell me you're gonna play PJ's girlfriend." Ava raised an eyebrow "Do you watch it, really? But no PJ's girlfriend!"

Pauline saw how dissapointed she was when she heard Ava's answer. But in just seconds her face lighted up and said "That's better! Maybe you'll be Amy when she was younger?" "Nope!" "What the hell? Charlie as a teen?" Pauline asked and Ava shaked her head 'yes'. "Ava, that's great..... i mean really great!" "Yeah, i know. Thank you!" Ava answered smiling.

School has just finished for today and Pauline drove back to her house. She parked the car in the garage and walked in the house from the kitchen door. She was suprised when she saw that no one was there don't even her mum. She walked out of the kitchen and found her mother there. "Hey, mum! Where is everyone?" she asked and gave her mother a quick hug and kiss. "Zeta is in a friend house doing a project and dad is in the office!" Katerina answered. "So, we are alone?" "Yeah! I have an idea.... do you want to have a mother and daughter time?" "Yeah, sure why not? Just give me some minutes to change and i'll be right back!" Pauline answered and climbed the stairs.

She walked to her bedroom and left the bag and on the floor. She put shorts on and a t-shirt. Closing the door behind her he headed to the living room. She was walking down the stairs when she heard her mother saying "Jesus Pauline! You wore that t-shirt again?" Katerina asked when she saw the t-shirt saying 'Keep calm and Richie marry me'. "He's not going to marry you anyway!" "Yeah, Tori is the one not me!" Pauline answered and sut on the couch next to her mother. "Is he going to marry again? I've read in a magazine that the marriege with Heather wasn't that good!" Katerina informed Pauline. "I don't know! Anyway, Tori is much better than Heather!" "You've never meet her!" "And i don't to!" Pauline answered and runk a sip of the kuise that her mother brought her.

"Anyway, let's change the subject! How are things between you and Jesse?" "Aha, that was you wanted to know from the beginning, didn't you?" "So? Is it so bad that i want to know how is my daughter with her boyfriend?" "Anyway, we're good!" Pauline answered simply. "Only good? You didn't......." "Jesus, mum! No we didn't......." Pauline answered. With her right arm she drunk an another sip of her juise.

Katerina wasn't blind. She saw the scratches. "Where are these scratches coming from Pauline?" "What scratches?" she asked and looked to her arm. "Oh these scratches! I fell down to school and there were some glasses that's all!" Pauline answered lying to her mother into her face. But Katerina knew her very well to know she was lying. "Don't lie to me Pauline! Tell me the truth!" Katerina said looking her in the eyes.

Pauline couldn't tell her that an unknown man was almost raped her in the bathroom of a bar. She couldn't say these words. With Jesse and Jon things were a lot diferent, she was her mother who was waiting for an answer. "Don't make me ask twice!" Katerina said. She couldn't wait anymore.

Pauline took a deep breath and said "The day i didn't make it to the team i called Jesse. We went to a bar. At some point i want to the bathroom to pee and when i saw washing my hands......." she started but she couldn't hold her tears anymore and she lett them roll to her cheek. Katerina lifted Pauline's head. She was her crying. "And then what Pauline?" "A man that i've never had seen before was standing there watching me. He almost raped me!" Pauline drop the bomb to her mother.

Katerina lost the ground down of her legs. She just heard those words coming out of her 16 years old daughter? She couldn't believe it. She had lost her words. She didn't know what to say or what to do. Put her arms around her daughter and said "Why you didn't tell me earlier?" "He didn't do anything bad to me Jesse came the right time!" "But the scratches?" "He wanted to hit me with a beer bottle in the head but i put my arm and hit there...." Pauline explained to her mother. "Oh Pauline...." Katerina said and hugged tighter her daughter. "Did he hit Jesse?" she asked when the broke apart.

Pauline nobbed her head and said "Yeah, a little in the face that's why i attacked him......" "You did what? You attacked him?" Katerina asked suprised. "What you wanted for me to do? Stay there and watch?" "No, but he couldn't hurt you more...." "But he didn't....." "Look Pauline that was very bad we should report this!" Katerina said sirious.

"No i don't want it! It was just a bad time that's all...." Pauline explained. "Pauline listen to me!" Katerina said and Pauline faced her and looked her in the eyes. "I know that he didn't hurt you but he may hurt an another girl in your age! That girl may be weaker than you to report him! But you're not! Now go upstairs and change and i'll wait for you right here, okay?" Pauline nobbed.

Her mother was right. She couldn't let this go by. It was very important. She stood up and went to her room to change. Once she had change her mother was waiting there for her. They both left the house heading to the Police Departement.

Arriving there Pauline explained to the officers what happend that night. The officer were very suprised, it was hard to belive that a man could do that to a teen girl. Pauline described the unknow man. Mother and daughter left the Police Department knowing that this man will be in jail very soon.
