Chapter 30: I Don't Want To Have A Talk About It

Pauline walked out of the court after she had finished her trainning a few weeks later. She had a very tough day on school day and she was tiried as hell. All that she wanted was to have a long bath and a good sleep. As she was walking to the parking lot he phone rung. Jesse's ID came tot he front screen.

"Hey, gorgeous, how are you?" she asked him. "Hey, babe. I'm good. Where are you?" "I'm heading home. The day sucked and i can't feel nothing down from my waist. My coach just can't understand that i can't run fast for the next four to five days!" "Oh, got it! Your bad days." "Yeah. Do you want something?" she asked him as she sut in the front seat of the car.

"Well, i do. Can you come over now and take Louis with you?" "Why? What did he do this time?" Pauline asked. She wasn't very pleased the last time Louis wasn't a good boy. He loves taking their shoes and let in some place to the house. "Louis was the best boy. The problem is Romeo and Jake. They were fighting of who will go out with Louis and Mum got pissed. They will not have him for a week at least. Can you take care of him?" Jesse explained.

"Yeah, of course. Oh my poor little monsters, they were so exited about him!" Pauline said feeling a little sorry for them. "Yes, they were. Well, i'll leave you now to drive. See you in a few. Love ya!" "Love ya too!" she answered to him and hung up.

A few minutes later Pauline arrived at the Bongiovi house. She rung the bell and now she's waiting. From behind of the door she could hear footspets and Louis barging. She smiled. The door opened by Jesse but as soon as the door was opened Louis run away. "Oh shit! Louis come over here......" Jesse yelled.

Louis don't even turned to see him, he just continue running. "LOUIS....." Pauline yelled and suddenly Louis froze. He turn his little body. "Come over here buddy!" she told him with a lower voise now. Louis run to Pauline's side. "How the hell are you doing this? he doesn't listen to me!" Jesse said and put his arms around her. She kissed him. "I have me way...." "Well, you should teach me how are you doing this!" "Maybe someday i will..." she answered winked at him.

"Louis come in boy!" Jesse said and Louis was more than willing to follow them in the house. All the three of them walked in the house. They walked in the living room and found Jon sitting on the couch smocking a cigarette. Jon as he heard footsteps he looked behind to his shoulders. "Hey, Angel where have you been? I didn't see you for a while? How is your life? With school everything okay? With volley? Do you still kick their ass?" Jon asked.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking!" Pauline answered to him and smiled. "That's great. If Jess is not a good boy you can beat him i give you the free pass....." Jon said and looked once to his son and once to Pauline. "Thank you Dad! I love you too...." Jesse answered. "I know. I know. Angel do you want to have dinner with us?" he asked when he finished his cigarette.

"I apreciate the offer but they are waiting me at home! Maybe someday...." she answered back to him. Jon gave her that famous and gorgeous smile. "What did i say?" she asked. A second passed and that's when she realized that is a Bon Jovi song. "Hey, is not my fault that you have a song from any ocassion...." she added. "Well, yeah maybe you're right! I'll go take Louis things!" Jon said and got up from the couch.

"Finally he left..." Jesse said and sighed of relief. But Pauline didn't have much time until his lips met hers. "Why? He's so nice..." "He is but he is still my Dad and i don't him around when i'm with you..." he answered and pulled her closer, he kissed her again.

They were both sitting on the couch. "It's been a while since we were here A-L-O-N-E!" he said looking at her. "Yeah! 10 days, 4 hours and 38 minutes if my memory don't fool me!" Pauline answered to him watching the hour on her phone. "You even count the minutes...?" he asked back suprised, he've never heard that before. "I count every minute i'm with you but i count every second that we are apart..." she told him and kissed him.

"You know i was thinking about that maybe is a good idea to tell Dad what you saw that night." he asked. "No, i don't think that is a good idea." she answered and pulled back. "Why not? He can help us and uncle Richie will have then full castody of Ava and Heather will not bother them again." he explained. "And why we should do that? That supposed to be a secret and i told you because i trust you. No one else knows exept you. And if we tell you Dad i have to say it one more time and i just want to forget what happend that night!" she said and start feeling a little nervous about it.

Jesse stood up. "But if you say it we can help them." "I don't think they any help. It's been more than 20 days and they didn't hear anything of her." Pauline answered him from the couch. "She is preparing her next move, Paul." "She's not doing nothing. If she wanted she will have had it sooner. So, she finaly got that Ava doesn't care about her." Jesse sighed. She knew she has a point but he knew Heather a little more.

"Paul, just listen to me. I know this is hard for you but he is the only one that can help us right now." Jesse tried one more time and walked to where she was sitting on the couch. "Jesus Jesse! I told you i'm not going to tell Jon or Richie or even to the God himself! I will not talk about this again. And if i only knew how you will react i will keep it to myself!" she blew out. She don't help herself anymore.

Jesse saw her walking to the other side of the room. "Pauline we have no choise! You must tell him NOW! Before is too late! YOU must tell now before they got hurt!" Jesse didn't give up. "Jesse i told you god damn it i will not tell anyone! So stop telling me what to do with that!" Pauline yelled. She was getting more and more pissed when Jesse was trying again.

Jon walked in the living room with Louis's staff. He found them on the other side of that he left them. While he was coming he heard Pauline yelling and he heard her one more time. "I shouldn't have tell you that, Jess..." she yelled at him again. Even he was facing her back, Pauline could feel him close to her. Suddenly, she turned and walked away.

"Oh you run away again? That's what you always do! You run away from the truth! But when the bad will come and we can't do anything about it don't say that i didn't warn you!!" he slapped at her and crossed his arms. Pauline turned for a single moment and gave him the stink eye.

She was a few steps away from Jon. She stopped in front of him. He has that suprised look on his face. "Thank you Jon, good night! See you around!" she told him and took Louis's staff from his hands. Pauline looked down to Louis and told him "Come on Louis, it's time to go...." The little puppy followed her to the main door. Both Jesse and Jon saw them walking away.

"Fuck!" Jesse said and walked out of the living room, Jon was behind him. "Jesse what was that about?" he asked his son. Jesse had already walked up some stairs. "Nothing Dad! Everything is fine!" "Jesse don't lie to me. And nothing is fine! Why the Hell you talked to her like that?" Jon asked from the bottom of the stairs. Jesse stopped and turned to face him. "Because she's so stuborn!" "About what?" "Dad, just leave it! I don't want to have a talk about it!" Jesse said and walked up the stairs, leaving Jon with unanswered questions.

Pauline closed the door behind her. As the door was closed she let the tears go. With quick steps she arrived at her car. She helped Louis go in the front seat, next to her. Walking to the driver seat and got in the car. Once she sut, she looked next to her. Louis was watching every move she was making. He was lying on the seat but he got up and with one jump, he was in Pauline's legs.

She smiled. Louis moved to her belly and start moving his head up and down to her belly, it was like he was hugging her. "Thank you, buddy! I'm alright!" she told him and tipped up the tears. "Let's go back to the house before Mum does wild!" she looked down to him. "You can stay there if you want, but you musn'y move, ok?" she asked him and put the machine forward.

Pauline has less that 15 minutes to change her emotions. When she will arrive at her house no one must suspect anything about her argue with Jesse. But especially the reason. She's still very pissed at him. She told him more than once that she was not going to tell Jon. Why he can accept that? She had regrete telling him what happend that night. But she didn't know if she would be alright now if she had keep it to herself all these days.

She couldn't forget his last words. She run away because he didn't listen to her. He wanted say what he wanted and didn't care what Pauline was saying. Maybe she should have staied and don't run away with the first obstacle that is coming up. But she knew that if she had staied they will fight even more.

Pauline pulled the car to her house drive way. "We're here buddy! Time to meet my family..." she told to him. She opened the door and let the little puppy got out of the car. He was already wearing his strap, so he couldn't run. Taking the strap to her hands Pauline took the things of the car and walked to the main door.

She opened the door. "We're here!" she said. They have no idea that Louis was coming with her. She let the things down to the floor. She knelt to Louis height and put away the strap of his neck. Zeta was the first that walked out of the kitchen and saw Louis. "Oh my God! What the hell is that?" Zeta asked and looked to Pauline who was coming to her side. "Well, that's Louis and he'll stay with us for the next weeks!" "Oh, so that's Louis. Hey, Louis nice to meet you...." Zeta said and knelt down to meet him.

Louis turn his back and walked to the other side. He wasn't good with unfamiliar faces. "Hey, that's not fair!" Zeta said and stood up. "Don't worry he'll get used to you! Where is Mum and Dad?" Pauline asked her. "In the kitchen. Zeta answered without looking at her, her look was locked in Louis.

Pauline walked in the kitchen "Hey, guys!" "Pauline where have you been?" her mother asked. "I went to Jesse's and brought Louis home..." "Louis who?" her mother asked suprised. She have never heard before pauline talking about a Louis. "Well, Louis is a puppy and he'll stay with us for the next weeks!" pauline tolod her mother. She didn't gave her more details because she might suspect that while they were gone she wasn't at the house at all.

"A puppy? You brought here a puppy? Just don't tell me you found him on the road!" "Of course not! Jesse bought this for me..." she answered. "He did what? he bought you a pet?" katerina asked very suprised. "Yeah, i told him what happend that day and he was more than willing to buy me a pet and i couldn't say no to that! Do you want to see him before Zeta kills him? He turned away when she knelt down to meet him!" Pauline explained.

Katerina laughed. "That's very nice of him!" she said and looked to her daughter. Pauline was trying to act like nothing had happend between her and him. "Come on! let's go to see him..." she told her mother. She didn't want to think about what happend earlier in his house. Because the more she thinks about it the more pissed she's becoming.
